I hate it when they're stiff!!!!!!!!!

Well...that so called 'great bargain' on my Ralph Lauren jeans yesterday may not have been so great afterall!!

I washed them, and used a double dose of Downey Fabric Softener, and they are the stiffest jeans I have ever owned!

What is up with this?????????

Sometimes stiff is pretty good.

I'm going to let them tumble on air-dry w/a few fabric softener sheets for a while...but I'm tellin' ya....these things are like sheet rock!!!

Put them through the wash a few more times. If you have any Clorox 2 for some reason sometimes that helps me with DH's jeans. He works at Home Depot and all sorts of strange things happento his clothes and the clorox 2 works wonders. Also try putting some Downy in when you put the jeans in, put it right in the wash basin part and also in the center thing where it is supposed to go. Good luck, I hate it when my jeans are "crunchy"

Did the Dryer sheets help?

If you used both fabric softner and dryer sheets... well I don't have any other suggestions....

I'll admit I thought of something else when I saw "stiff". I 'll have to keep my mind out of the gutter. Wash in hot water and dry on low is my advice....

Seriously, I'm a laundry/drycleaning machine tech. Where I work, I've seen jeans come in with an order for triple starch and heavy press. They look like cardboard, but some think that's cool.

Only one way to get rid of it. Rewash on the cycle with the most rinses possible in cold water. Then dry on the lowest heat setting. Heat activates the starch and will make them stiffer.
