I Hate Christmas Gifts!

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHH....I freaking hate Christmas shopping. I'm only buying gifts because someone else has/or will buy me one. I'd be happy with a Christmas card. Especially since I don't have the cash right now.

are Christmas presents suppose to be bought with charge? lol
Actually I was getting a little behind with the Christmas bills. Now that we had to go to WDW Im fearing my charge card even more!
Cant go to WDW at the last minute and not buy hoppers!

Until this year, we used to exchange gifts with my 2 siblings, there spouses, and half a dozen neices and nephews, and we're not taking "token" gifts here. When you add in my parents and all their gifts to us, and my family, it was a gift frenzy! My Dh and I asked for the past several years to cut back, draw names, but no one heard us. So this year we decided to simply "opt out" of the gift exchange. We explained to our DS that we would not be getting gifts or giving gifts to all his aunts, uncles and cousins and instead will bring some gifts to the Childrens home and will have a nice, quiet Christmas Eve at home. He was actually THRILLED that would could stay home for Christmas this year, but worried about his cousins as he felt the only "cool" gifts they ever got was from us

I can't remember enjoying a Christmas season more than this one! Still had plenty of shopping for DH and DS, and helping Santa out a bit.... but it's just been so much less stressful!

Christmas can be so stressful because of the spending, spending, spending! Just do what you can, a little token gift would be fine if you are on a tight budget, or maybe make something??? Hope things look up for you!!!

Good for you!! I think this is wonderful and applaud you for taking a stand and making the change in how you are doing things for Christmas this year. I come from a large family and we also used to be expected to buy something for EVERYONE. One year, we said that we just couldn't do it anymore, that we'd be happy to participate in a name drawing and buy ONE person a gift, or else we were going to opt out.
