I HATE cancer

kejoda, please check your pm's... I tried to send a note and was told your mailbox is full.

Count me as another cancer hater here!

I'm in.

I don't know how this will come out - hopefully the way I am thinking it - but after I lost my Mom to cancer I dreaded hearing about every "breakthrough" because I didn't think I could handle it if they found a "cure" just after she died.....however as we all know I did not have to worry. I too don't understand why we cannot eradicate this disease!! Now I am scared maybe I will get cancer, what about my little guy, etc etc....it sucks!!

Here's praying to the Big Guy that we'll get rid of this awful disease soon.

:wizard: :genie: :wizard:

Here's another hater. My mom was diagnosed on 7/3. Three weeks later, she was under the care of Hospice.

She's still hanging in, but we all know the inevitable outcome.

{{{HUGS}}} to all the DISers who this dreaded disease has touched.

Count me in too, I lost my older sister and dad to cancer and just lost my friend the other day to it.and now my sister inlaw has it.

taken care of. Sorry about that.

I wish cancer didn't exist. I hate it too.
My friend is slowly losing her dad to the beast. He's been sick on and off for the past year or so; this time there's no hope:(
My grampa lost his ear to melanoma last September 11. He battled colon cancer 3 years ago. My other grampa is being treated for prostate cancer now and has had a couple malignant things removed from his skin. My uncle had to have major surgery to save him from colon cancer 9 years ago. He's alive and healthy today, well into his 80's. For that I'm very grateful. Have lost many members of this small town where I live, very special people taken too early. A 6 year old here is currently battling leukemia.
I just wish they could find a cure. It's affected so many people and is so hard to deal with.

I hate cancer too.

My dad is battling prostate cancer, a battle we know he will lose if we don't have a miracle or a cure. I lost my grandfather to it also.

I have 4 clients with cancer right now. 4!
 :(

me too :(

Lost my best friend to cancer when I was 12, my grandmother 5 years ago and watched FIL battle it too.

As you can tell from my signature, I am a victim to this terrible disease. I hate it with a passion.

Me-thyroid cancer, Mom-breast cancer, MIL-esophagus cancer, FIL-pancreatic cancer, GodMother-lung cancer.

I'd like to help you .

BF lost his dad to cancer 3 years ago, my best friends mom has blood cancer, and my grandma is fighting breast cancer. My SIL had a bout with ovarian cancer, but she's doing better.

It's an awful illness.

Cancer haunts my family. My dad died at 61 of prostate cancer, his dad died of it at 50. My nephew had rhabdomyosarcoma at 5 but has been cancer free for 7 years now! My brother died of melanoma last year. The number of aunts, uncles and cousins with different cancers is to numerous to list here!

I too HATE CANCER!!!!!!!!

In the past 3 years I lost two cousins, one uncle, two of my favorite aunts, my beloved cat and my precious Mother to the beast.

My closest aunt who is closer than my sisters has colon cancer and fights it everyday.

Before the year 2000 there was NO cancer in my family.

Now it's torn us apart... :(

God bless all of the survivors.

I had never heard of "bladder cancer" until my mother was dix with it. She passed away a few months later.

Then 2 years later, 3 months after dh had a heart attack and die in the er. They were able to revive him. He was dix. with "bladder cancer" He has had it twice now.

He has a doctor's check up for his cancer next month. He says he refuse's to go back to the doctor. I have managed to talk him into going for check ups for the past 2 years. I'm afraid this time I won't be able to convince him. He is now down to going only every 6 months. But he needs to go for 3 more years with out any signs of the cancer before he is somewhat over the hump.

I am absolutely worrying myself sick over this!

I agree, cancer is a terrible beast.

FIL has pancreatic cancer, MIL is a melanoma survivor, DH's birth mom died of leukemia at age 26, and my brother is a testicular cancer survivor.

I hate cancer too.

I watched my mom go from a vibrant, active woman to a hunched over, unable to eat, 80 pound shell of herself in the span of 2 months. It was a complete horror show. Watching your young (66) mother not being able to eat anything other than a few sips of malted milkshakes once a day is sobering. Her last 48 hours were not dignified, and she was in so much pain, no one should ever have to suffer the way she did. Cancer is a horrible beast.

Hillbeans, if you don't mind my asking, what kind of cancer did your mom have? I know I've seen it before, but I can't remember...

Add me to the list. I hate cancer. I hope they find a cure soon.

I HATE cancer too. My Mum had stomach (gastric) cancer this year and is still recovering from having most of her stomach removed.

I also HATE Alzheimer's disease - my Dad, bless his soul, had this terrible disease.
