I had to cancel my trip!

Well we were planning a March 2006 trip. But due to the fact that I just found out I am pregnant and 3 other miscarriages my doctor told me no. We are now planning either March 2007 or 2008. On the bright side, all that money now can be put into the nursery!

I have been through 1 miscarriage myself and I know how devastating that was for me so I know it is very important for you to follow your doctor's advice. As you said, perhaps you will be able to take a trip in the next couple of years with your new addition. Wishing you all the best and remember Disney will always be there when the time is right for you!

Congratulations! I'm a mom who had several m/c---what finally made the difference for me was supplemental progesterone during the first trimester. I'm sure your doctor is watching you closely, but ask about this if he hasn't addressed it. Best wishes to you!

Thank you so much everyone! My doc said I might be able to travel by then but to plan for something closer to home. We might go to Mall of America instead. Its only 9 hours there vs 24 to Disney. Or we might go to Chicago or the Rock and Roll hall of fame.

I can't think of a better reason to cancel anything! I had to cancel our trip last year due to money. I think I'd have rather had to cancel for a baby! Just to give you some encouragement, my SIL went on to have 3 healthy babies in a row after having miscarried her first few pregnancies. to you!

On Christmas Day 98, we had a special announcement for our family -- we were pregnant. Everyone was so excited. That night DW had a miscarriage.

Funny how things work. If that hadn't happened then we wouldn't have our daughter.

She's 5 so we haven't told her yet that she has an older brother or sister waiting in Heaven for her.
