Hi I just want to enquire is this a scam or legit email because I don't want to get hacked so can you tell me if it's safe or not? I'll copy and paste it below

email address invitation@disneysurveys.com

Greetings from Disney Destinations Research!

Our records indicate that you attempted to book a vacation with us sometime during the past year. We are very interested in your comments about your experience, and would appreciate your participation in a brief online survey.

Your feedback is very important to us, for we genuinely want to provide our Guests with the ultimate vacation experience.

Best Regards,
The Cast of Disney Destinations Research

I've done multiple surveys from Disney. One was a recorded session where I gave feedback of my trip last year. This was scheduled and a video recording that took about 1-1.5 hours.

The other survey was about my booking of the trip.

Both surveys came from invitation@disneysurveys.com
1 and a half hours that's a long time did it use up any computer device battery?

What does any survey cover that would take 1.5 hrs of live interaction? Surveys are usually designed to be answered quickly, cover a large number of people and easily tabulated. Trying to tabulate replies from some type of live interview would require an excessive amount of time. Taking up that much time on ONE survey respondant means there won't be sufficient time to have a large enough sample size of inputs.

It’s been several years but one time I participated in a focus group survey covering various Disney resort topics. It was an online moderated ‘discussion’ 1-2 hours over several days. They’d pose questions, the participants would respond, etc. I’ve been invited to an initial prescreen for other similar surveys at least one other time but must not have fit their criteria as I didn’t get a further request (they made it clear you may or may not hear from them).

So yes, sometimes Disney does surveys and/or focus groups that go beyond the scope of the typical online surveys most of get after resort stays or park visits.

Survey or as GADIsneyDad called it a moderated discussion that covered multiple topics. Yes there was compensation ($200 Disney gift card). I actually enjoyed airing my feelings of the new Genie+ and reservation system.
The time felt more like talking to a family member about your last vacation and less like the whole you are being recorded survey feeling.

I just found this thread as I received an email from this address today too and wasn't sure if it was legit.

We have an upcoming trip. In the email they indicated they want to observe us during our "in-park experience" (one of the other people in our party got one too - not sure if that's a coincidence or not) for a few hours and then interview for a bit afterward. They'll choose out of the people who answer an online survey.

Has anyone gotten anything like that?

If it's legit, debating doing it, but ultimately will go with what my friend wants to do. There are 4 or 5 days to choose from but we're only in the parks on one of those dates and it's our first day in the parks.

I saw a story saying they were going to do this. I think it said they would follow for 3 hours and give a $400 gift card.

Thank you for sharing!
Yes, the email said "up to 3 hours" with a $300 gift card.

Bumping this thread to ask if anyone has done this focus group recently? I just got the email.

I got a focus group screening survey recently, had lots of questions but numerous “if selected…” caveats. I guess my credentials didn’t match what they wanted as I never got a call or email back.

I’m curious but don’t like having to give my personal information.
