I understand how you feel and it can take a while to recover. This happened to me a while ago. I was 2nd in the line at a red traffic light. A white van came speeding up behind me and crashed right into the back of me propelling me into the car in front. I luckily had the hand brake off. Had it been on the impact would have been much worse. The driver was on his mobile phone at the time and wasnt paying attention!! I hate sitting at lights now and panick if a lorry or a van is coming up behind me!

sorry to see the Rover in that state.
Have you reported it to the Police? AFAIR if injury occures you have to report the accident to the Police.
Also, as had already been said you need to inform the Insurance company, as if you are taken into hospital whilst on holiday they can refuse to cover you. (Pre existing condition)

Hi

I phoned the insurance company and apparently I wont be insured for any pre-medical problems, because the policy does not start until 23rd August. We only bought the insurance policy a few days ago which is fine. I will take it easy. It will effect every travel insurance from now on, my neck will be a pre-medical condition now.

Yes as Obi says all injury road traffic crashes need reporting to the Police in person at your local Police Station with your documents.
