I had a pin!!!

I got an email a few weeks ago with a PIN good until 12/31, and only for dates up through June. Didn't work for us.

I was planning on booking something online, then calling to see if they could apply YW3 to my ressie. I asked first if there was a PIN attached to my name and it got me 40% off AKL!!! I'm so excited. We just booked 8/24-8/31

That's wonderful! I think I will call tomorrow to see if I have a pin. If not, then I'll just book with the latest deal.
 
Congratulations!!! It is such an awesome feeling to call and be able to book something for a lot less than expected, or get to go for a nicer room for little to nothing extra!!!
 
We would never be able to stay at a Deluxe without a huge discount. My husband has been wanting to stay at AKL forever!! We made a deal, we'll take AKL with the deal and skip the water parks. I love the water parks but we have right by our house. We get season passes for the 3 of us for $200 and go about 20 times a summer. I can't see paying a few hundred extra to go to the Disney ones when my son spends the bulk of his time in the wave pool anyway. So he agreed!
 

OP, thank you so much for the tip! I would have never thought to call and ask if I had a PIN. I had one! Got three nights at POFQ for $363. If I had booked the online special it would have been $419. I am always happy to save more money!:woohoo: Thanks again!:goodvibes

I called and no pin. In the past every time I've called I've had something. I swear getting the annual pass has ruined getting pins for me!! I'm very flexible on our fall trip so hopefully I'll get a good AP rate. I keep getting great pins from Universal after a one night stay this year so I guess when I stop getting an AP we'll just switch to staying on site at Universal.:scared1:
 
I just called and asked if I had a pin and the CM said yes, and it was under my mom's name and my DH's name and she said the 3 of us could use it, since we have the same address...I've never heard of such a thing! She told me the dates it was good for (I just asked about October, the 2 middle weeks of October are blacked out) but she couldn't tell me what the discount was, she said she would have to put in specific dates and resorts to check, so I told her I would call back! :confused3

She was very nice and very helpful, but again, I didn't know 3 people could share a pin. I'm going to have my DH call tomorrow (as much as I know he's going to complain about it! :rotfl:) and ask if he has a pin, and I might call again tomorrow and ask another CM if I can use the pin...if I am, I might change the trip I just booked today to a week later...ugh! Stressful Disney planning! :rotfl2:
 
Thanks OP! I didn't think there would be any other codes out for that time yet. But my husband called and he had one too!

Here is what we saved for our 9 night trip staying at AKL from September 25th to October 4th:

Public Code:
Discount: 30% off AKL
Time frame: Good through Oct 1st
Total Hotel Cost for 9 nights: $2026.00
(We would have to pay rack rate for the last 2 nights)

Private PIN:
Discount: 40% off AKL
Time Frame: Good through Oct. 8th (then some black out dates)
Total Hotel Cost for 9 nights: $1683.00
(All 9 nights are discounted and we got an extra 10% off)

The private pin is saving us another $340 and in general we are saving $1200 off the rack rates!!! :scared1:

I am so happy! We haven't been to WDW in 5 years because of jobs, money, medical and other crazy reasons! But we are going this time no matter what! I am so grateful to get a discount that will let us afford to stay at AKL for 9 nights and make up for lost time!!:woohoo:

You call the general Vacation Package number (407) 939-7675 and ask if there is a PIN attached to your name. The pin we had offered select dates at least through October 28th. There may or may not have been dates available into November but I am not sure. Oct. 30th and 31st were blacked out so we decided that the end of September into October would work best for us. We were originally going to go end of October into beginning of November but since the last two days of Oct. were blacked out we just decided to go earlier since we can still go to F&W and MNSSHP. Therefore we did not look into whether the pin was good in November. Hope you have one!
 
I called again and asked about the pin that I was told I had last night and it the same one a PP mentioned...40% off from 8/21-10/8, expires 2/28! So I ended up changing my trip to 10/1-10/9 using 40% off for AKL!

You should all call to see if you have a pin, because it doesn't seem like they are emailing them anymore, you never know! :cool1:
