I had a BLT for Thanksgiving with a little Holiday & Birthday Cheer:NEW END & new PTR

Hey Julie!

I'm all caught up now. I hope you weren't too bummed about N-R not really enjoying her BBB experience. Maybe she'll like it a bit better when she's older? I am glad that you were able to get some PP pictures of the girls, that way you and them can always remember the experience.:cutie:

CRT seemed to go smoothly, and I'm glad all of the kids had a good time. It's so funny that you pointed out Nathan in the pictures of the princesses he liked.....:rotfl: too funny.

You know, I haven't been to CRT since the first time I went to WDW, in 2003. It was definitely different then, no characters that I remember. I'll have to give it a try when Madelyn is old enough to know what's going on.

Hi sheresa,

yes CRT was real nice, I am very glad we did it and I definetly would take your sweet princess there on day!

Great pictures of your CRT lunch. With my assortment of boy children I doubt I'll ever see the inside of that castle! :sad2:

On Day 5) of our trip Tues 11-23 Rachel woke up at Disney another yr older as she turned 8. She started off her morning w/ some birthday surprises from Mama and Daddy

And then the whole family got ready for breakfast at our early morning ADR at 1900 PF at the GF. It was an easy monorail ride over. I love going to the GF resort, it is just so beautiful inside and out and I couldn’t wait to see the Christmas decorations inside and the gingerbread house. We took some time once we arrived to snap a few pictures in front of these pretty trees near the entrance

As we checked in for our meal we stopped to take the customary picture which I ended up buying cause it was so nice

This was the 2nd time I have eaten her but a first for breakfast and I was very excited as were the kids. We of course dressed for the occasion for the characters we were to meet.

NR picked out her shoes for her outfit today:

We were able to start getting food before Pooh Bear and Tigger showed up at our table. Naomi-Ruth was a bit tired still this morning so not quite sure about the characters yet and was a little nervous, but that was OK cause Pooh Bear was too

continued in next post...

The breakfast buffet offerings were pretty standard w/ your eggs, pancakes, waffles, assorted pastries, etc…I enjoyed my first Mickey waffle of the trip…they are just so cute. The chef visited our table once again for NR and brought her out her own plate of special Mickey Waffles. She said one of her waffles was broken because it split apart and she didn’t like that.

Rebekah was the best eater of the group she had almost 3 helpings of food…wow she must have been hungry. Rachel was also presented w/ a breakfast cupcake and a round of “happy birthday”, plus a celebration placemat which is hung on her bedroom door.

100_7650.jpg

She was stuffed at this point and didn’t eat it…I would have hehehe

The characters were just so fun here, it ranks up w/ some of my fondest memories w/ characters. Meeting Mary Poppins (for my 2nd time) was such a kick…I truly felt like a little kid

100_7645-1.jpg

I loved her British accent and how prim and proper she was…she complimented me on my shirt

100_7643.jpg

The Mad Hatter was GREAT! Such fun, he got a kick out of Rachel dressed like his friend Alice and had a chat w/ Bekah too

100_7646.jpg

100_7647.jpg

100_7648.jpg

She wanted to know why he was called a Hatter and why if he was called mad he never acted that way…

Alice was so sweet and very kind to NR who was still a bit nervous.

Here are a few more pictures of our fun at our Supercalifraglistic breakfast:

After breakfast we headed out to the main lobby to take a view of the gingerbread house (it wasn't open for business yet) but it was quite fun to look at. The detailing was amazing and just crazy to think this was real gingerbread and royal icing. Take a look for yourself:

And this lovely topiary was outside one of the entrances to the GF:

Up next was taking the monorail the rest of the way around to the Magic Kingdom. First thing was the tea cups for our own special Alice!

Upon walking down Main Street Rachel-Alice was greeted by one of the town ladies

Bekah asked if she could open her umbrella:

I just couldn’t wait to get a picture of my Rachel-Alice in front of this ride

100_7671.jpg

It is another of my favorites from the whole trip.

The White Rabbit was out greeting guests in front of the attraction so this was fun for our Rachel-Alice to get her picture w/ him too:

It was after 9:30 by the time we arrived at MK and was already a bit crowded by now, you could definitely feel the crowds now as we hit mid week and getting closer to Thanksgiving. But our wait for the tea cups wasn’t too bad. We like to play the Disney alphabet game while in line each person taking a turn saying either characters or attractions that start w/ each letter of the alphabet…to make it harder sometimes you have to repeat each one that we already said…it really helps to pass the time.

We had hoped to get two tea cups right next to each other and Rachel-Alice really wanted a purple one. There were two perfect cups seeming to just be waiting for us and as Matt was about to get in his…some lady swooped in at the last second and took it..grrrr. I had the video camera and was able to get some fun video of Matt and the kids in his cup….now as soon as Matt is done converting the feed I’ll get to show you all.

There was much more to come for our 2nd Birthday girl…so stay tuned cause coming up next will be a montage of our own MAGIC KINGDOM experience over the course of our trip! We went to the MK a total of 6 times.

Stay tuned….

Thanks for reading,

J~

What a fun birthday! The girls look so cute in their dresses. Love Naomi-Ruth's shoes!

I know what you mean about meeting Mary Poppins. We saw her at Akershus and I felt the same way as you!

That gingerbread house is so awesome! I wish we'd had time to go over there to see it. Oh well. We'll just have to go back during the holidays!

RUDE!!!

Most definitely started seeing a change in the crowds about this time. We were in MK that day too but didn't arrive until much later. Ya'll may have been gone by the time we got about 11:30. Crowded!!!! But we managed to muddle through.

Ok, the pic of the CM "mooning" you all in front of the gingerbread house at GF just made me crack up laughing!!:rotfl::lmao:

Rachel looks adorable in her Alice dress! I love all the pics from 1900 Park Fare...you all look so happy! Even Nathan seemed to like the characters there!

Rachel in front of the tea cups and with the White Rabbit are just wonderful pictures.

Wow -- you went to MK 6 times!! Woo Hoo!! I'm hoping to get BLT for our trip next year (Jan 2012) if it's available...then I want to really spend a lot of time at MK.

Oh, and I love all the MP outfits!

So Bert is not one of the characters at 1900? Just MP?

Sounds like a wonderful breakfast. It has been a LONG time since we've done breakfast there. Wonder if I should try and add it for our June trip....

Coincidence? Or did you plan to post about 1900 PF one week before you'll be eating there again? :goodvibes It looks like you guys had so much fun! I know we'll be seeing different characters, but I can't wait to eat there!

I love this picture...

But did you notice the guy bent over watering the plants in front of the gingerbread house? :rotfl:

What a great way to spend a birthday!! 1900 Park Fare breakfast looks awesome!! I have a ressie there in a couple of weeks!! I really think it would be fun to meet those characters and I love breakfast food!!

Your pictures are just lovely!!!

What a great way to start Rachel's birthday morning -- breakfast with Alice! :goodvibes The pictures from 1900 Park Fare turned out fabulous! Love the group shot of all of you in the lobby, the one with Naomi-Ruth and Pooh, and the one of Alice and Rachel! So cute! :goodvibes

1900 Park Fare is such a great place for a birthday.
It's one of our favorite character meals.
Rachel is adorable in her Alice dress. And Naomi Ruth is just too cute in her little Mary Poppins outfit.

Have you tried 1900 Park Fare for dinner? It's great! We celebrated my parents 35th anniversary there in 2008 and it was wonderful.

I've always wanted to try the holiday sandwhich! It sounds fabulous!

I love the trend store. There are so many fun things in there.

What a great start to a birthday celebration!
