I Guess This Is The OFFICIAL MARCH 2010 Thread!

thoughts on crowds?

I am in the princess half on the 7th. Ideally would like to go the 5th to the 13 (for race purposes)
BUT

Do you think the crowds would be better feb 28 to march 8??

I know that in ontario we have march break starting the 13th and it usually makes everything crazy (airports) but I don't know how much canada's breaks inpact WDW??

any thoughts on crowds?

We went this past March 14-21st and yes it was crowded but not as bad as I thought it would be. Last year (2008) we went in mid to late April and it was just as bad if not worse! Fast Passes were gone pretty quickly, that I do remember. I think if Easter was in March, it would be much much worse. You will need to go to the parks with a plan though.

We are planning on going in March 2010. We went March 17-24 this year (at All Star Sports) and I thought the crowds weren't as bad as I thought they would be. I can't wait to go again. We did the buy 4 nights gets 3 nights free. I also hope some kind of deal comes up for March. I wish I knew about this board before we went this year cause now I know so much more.

Well, I just booked our condo in Orlando for the 14th-20th of March so we'll be at WDW sometime in there. I haven't been there in 20 years. Going to bring the two girls (2 & 6 at that time) and hubby. So excited. A little worried about the crowds, but we'll just try to be relaxed. Now to read up (I'm sure a lot has changed in 20 years!).

We're planning an adults-only trip in March (first since our honeymoon) to coincide with dh's conference at the Dolphin. I'm surprised the conference was planned the week before Easter but I think perhaps those planning hoped many attendees would bring their families?? Anyway, I know it'll be super crowded that week but I'm more curious about the weather in late March. Anyone familiar? I sure hope it'll be better than our trip two weeks ago when we all thought we would melt at 8am. I'll take crowds over 98 degrees any day.

We are going again too! We go every March I am just trying to figure out when would be a good time to go. I am thinking March1st to the 10th:confused3 I guess we will see how it goes.

I agree with that statement 100%. I will never go to Disney again from late May to September. This past Marcy 14-21 the highs were from 75-82 each day if I remember correctly. Swimming was fine and we never really needed a jacket at night or early in the morning. Shorts all week for us!

you are scaring me with the I will take crowds over heat lol

i booked sept and march:confused3

I think the crowds are not too bad in March and the begining to the middle of March the weather is amazing. :thumbsup2

Now for Spring break I have to say we avoid only because we did not like all of the swearing our DS was hearing. The college kids make things a little less magical for us. They invaded the pools and food courts very loud and well typical teenagers. They deserve their fun so I just go at the begining of March instead.

I've been wondering if anyone would ever start a March 2010 thread - we're planning on March also and are very excited. We have been at all different times of the year and March has been our favorite so far.

Tentative dates are 13-20 (as I see several have also already mentioned) - see ya there!!

We are going about the same time. We will be staying at AKL starting on March 12 - 20th. We were able to get the conceirge level for a couple of nights only. I did not book far enough in advance. We were not sure where we wanted to stay.

We are going in March too! We will be staying at SSR from March 13-20. I am excited and hoping for great weather!

I cant wait !! We will be going March 7th to the 12th then we plan to go to Daytona for the wkend then we will be going back for 2 more days.:banana: i have been planing this trip for almost 2 years:surfweb: and i cant believe its 7months away!:yay:Has anyone had any luck with the fairy god-mailer??:confused3 I hope everyone has the best time. GOOD LUCK:flower3:

Looking at March 9th-17th OR March 13th-21st, splitting time between WDW and Vero Beach!

I am leaning toward the later dates b/c then I would get to spend my b'day at MK (but the earlier dates would make it at Vero which is not bad either!). Mostly, we want 3 nights @ WDW, 4 nights @ Vero, then one night back at WDW before flying home. Also, want to be @ Vero on Sat morning for their character breakfast.

Resorts being considered are:
CSR for 3 nights @ WDW
then Vero Beach DVC rental
ending @ POP for one night before heading home

We are not relling the kids about the POP visit since we will not be going to the park and otherwise DS will lobby for park time. So we figure an afternoon at the pools of POP and watching some fireworks will be a good way to end it.

I am excited to hear about everyone's plans!!! :cool1:

Well we were going to go in February, just me and my husband, but my mom and dad and I have decided to treat my newly widowed grandmother to a cruise along with my 10 aunts and uncles, and 15 cousins! After the cruise we are going to spend a week at Disney! Even better than that we are going to stay at the Poly!!!

We had to cut our trip short in May when my dear, sweet grandfather suddenly passed. This is our chance to celebrate the life of my grandfather, a dedicated Disney fan, as well as treat my 86 year old grandmother to some much needed rest and relaxation.

Couldn't be happier!

Sounds like a wonderful trip, and a wonderful way to remember and celebrate your grandfather!
