I Guess This Is The OFFICIAL MARCH 2010 Thread!

On our return from the states today we saw a family returning from WDW with AKL tees and sweatshirts on... made me want to leave now!

DD saw their bag from WDW and keept telling me about "Mi Mi" (Minne) and "Rella Home" (Cinderella's Castle) it was so cute.

I cannot wait for the 2010 trip!!!

We stayed at AKV in July 08. We loved it. We are going to be staying there again when we go in March 2010!

Hi all, going in March as well with a 3 and 5 year old. We went Dec. 08 and can't wait to go back! We will be staying at POP again and hoping for good weather. Never been in March before...we're thinking mid-way through the month.

So I had been going back and forth (and back and forth) (and back and forth) about using AAA/CAA (like we have for the past 2 trips) or booking through Disney.

So I called Disney to see if I could just book everything (WDW, non-DVC member Vero Beach reservation, and one night WDW to get ME) and to see if it could all be included in one travel insurance plan. And I can!

So now I am thinking about booking through Disney, maybe with the room-only AAA rate until (hopefully) a deal comes out.

Going in March 2010 as well. Really does seem like a popular time. Middle of the month is Spring Break in MS. Possibly staying at POFQ or CR? Waiting on deals!

We now have our flight information and I am just waiting a couple more weeks to be able to book our last couple of nights stay.

:cool1:

We will be there in March as well:

Booked Feb 26 thru March 6 at BWV. We have gone at this time in the past and loved it (not too busy, beautiful daytime temps and not too cool at night). :thumbsup2

Now to wait for better airfare (current prices are outrageous from our local airport...we may have to drive a few hours to get a reasonable rate) Good thing we have lots of time to keep checking!! :surfweb:

We are now considering spring break also, (Week of March 15th).
Instead of original dates in June.
Are there ever any deals for this time of the year ?:confused3

Hooray!

I booked all three portions of the vacation today! And I got AAA at all 3! The first time I called I out CSR dates on hold and then DH and I discussed prices, options for Vero Beach and our one night before the flight home.

The first time I called the CM told me there was no AAA for Vero Beach, but when I called back, the CM saw it was my birthday over the trip and told me to hold a few minutes while she checked into the AAA rate. Then she came back and told me it was available! That was the best birthday gift! It saved over $150! I got some awesome pixie dust today! :cheer2:

Here is hoping for a better than AAA deal on the rest of the trip come November!

We are booked too! March 13-20, 2010, Caribbean Beach Resort with the Quick Service Dining Plan just like this past March. Now the countdown begins!

I need a little advice.

We plan on going March 6-13 and want to stay at POFQ, but, If I book now, would it be best to just book "Room Only" which I can cancel up to 45 days prior with no cancellation charge?

If I do this, would I be able to add my tickets later? Or could I just buy separatetly and then when I get there how do they add my tickets to my room key/card? Do they scan the tickets and upload them on the room key? How does this work?

My reason for doing "Room Only" is that I am really hoping for a deal to come out "4/3" or "free dining" etc..and I would re-book and cancel the Room Only for a package deal at that time. But, in the event no deals, at least I will have my room booked at the resort I want. Also, I really just want to book something to make it more official. It will feel like I have accomplished something.

Last March my parents booked room only and added hoppers to their room card once they arrived. They could of taken advantage of the 4/3 deal but my father said he couldn't take 7 nights in Disney  I think they received a small room only discount though.

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

So, I have totally changed my trip plans already! I decided to run the Disney Princess Half Marathon!

So, now we are doing PORs for 4 nights, 4 nights Vero Beach, and 2 nights CSR for my birthday!

I have made the PORs ressies (marathon rate) but when I called to make the other changes, I was told my wait would be less than 25 minutes. I decided to call back...

We get more time at the park, a great deal for PORs and a longer vacation, plus I have incentive to get into shape... 209 days to race day! princess:

Just booked my package today as well. I had booked the room only previously. I am PRAYING that there is a special or I get a pin code for our stay, otherwise I am not sure that we should do it!

We stayed at Pop for 11 nights in May with the dining plan and the cost of our 6 night stay at the Poly garden view with dining is over double what we paid then. YOW!

But I am pretty sure that there is going to be some discount, right? RIGHT??!!! for the love of god I hope so:confused:

What am I doing?? :rotfl: haven't even taken our Sept 09 vacation and I'm looking into planning the March 2010 :lmao:

Well, I do have a "valid reason" my DSis, DMom and I plan to do the Royal Family 5K (my DSis does marathons and triathlons...but I can only handle the 5K so that it is ;))

So we'll be there around the weekend maybe a day or two before/after. How did you book the marathon rate? Did you call and ask? Have you already registered for the marathon? I guess we should register for the 5K soon??

Thanks for the help and any advice. My first "race", let alone first at Disney!

We are heading to POP Mar. 14-20 with some friends of ours. This will be our 2nd trip and their 1st, so we are thrilled about showing them how wonderful WDW is! We are hoping to book in the next couple of weeks. We both have 4 children so we will be a party of 12 and need 4 rooms. I only hope that the fall brings some discounts because right now my DH is horrified at the rack rate for rooms, tix, and the DDP. :scared1: As far as weather and crowds go, we aren't too concerned. Our first trip was Dec. 27 -Jan. 2 and the crowds were incredible. The weather, on the other hand, was beautiful. Our hope is that a spring trip will bring the same lovely weather and far fewer people enjoying it. But as this is only our second trip we aren't really sure what to expect.:confused3

OK, talked to DH and we are planning for
:cool1: March 10th, for 8 nights ! :cool1:
That's 3 months sooner than planned,
I really want CBR, but am hoping for some kind of deal.
Or else, we may try POP.
Oh, how I love the planning.............:goodvibes
