I Gotta Ask.....Should We Get a PAL MICKEY ??? Is it Worth $65 ???

NO, after 2 days I left it in the room. It didn't talk loud and the kids bored of it easy. Thankfully a friend loaned us theirs.

We loved Pal Mickey! (DS8 & DD5, DH & I) If it's just the money, check out the budget boards - they told me where to get ours for 27.99. It's worth a shot!! Have a great trip!!

Duh - guess I should tell you we got it from the Character Warehouse - they'll (BB) give you the phone # though!!

We purchased the classic one a couple of trips ago. My DD was 7, she enjoyed it, but not that much. I don't think I've ever seen her play with it at home. My DW and I enjoyed it however. We always carry a fullsize backpack with us and we clipped him to the shoulder strap, so he was always near our ears. When we felt/heard him start to talk, we'd all just huddle around and listen.

We have taken him back since and really enjoy it. It just adds to the experience and helps me revert back to my childhood. I've never once regretted the purchase, and he'll be travelling back in September.

I purchased 2 last year for my kids when they were $14 at the Character Warehouse. We took with us but I really don't think he is worth anymore than I paid for him. I would never pay $70 for him

BTW...Turn him off at night and take the batteries out when you aren't using him at home. He does use up the juice!

3 AAs if I remember correctly. It isn't too bad, just remember to turn him off at home. He will last your trip, just not forever.

Mickey has a zipper down his back, you can unzip him and there is a small switch to turn him on or off.

Actually I must really be a genius because I had to type "character warehouse" on the web search, without any typos.

I had already Googled for the information (right after I posted), but was looking for a telephone number to see if I can order a Pal Mickey at a much better rate than the Park prices. Some places have warehouses you can direct order from. I sure would like to get a Pal Mickey, but not pay the premium price.

Though I have never bought one, but hear they are pretty cool to have.

Thanks to all of you for your input if you like PM or not. This does help in my decision.

My mom bought one for my ds1. Yes, he's 1. My mom is known for overkill on the gifts for her only grandbaby (she has 2 other grandchildren, but both are teens and had their rides on the gravy train years ago ). We haven't used it yet, but I'm sure he will enjoy it in October. Of course, he would have enjoyed a plain ol' stuffed Mickey from a yard sale, too...
