So I got back on the 14th of July from WONDERFUL 9 day vacation to the happiest place on earth! I really have to wipe this pout off my face! Although looking at my pictures does cheer me up!! Why is it so hard to leave there?
I turn to the DIS boards for support...I know you're always here to turn my frown upside down ;)
We had a great trip! Did some new and fun things...Segway Tour in EPCOT! A definite must if you've never done it and if you have the Disney Visa you get 20% off :) My sister surprised us with the Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert party! WOW, what a view of the castle and Wishes fireworks. Gets me teary eyed every time!!! Then Mom surprised us with the Pirate Cruise to watch the fireworks again! WOW, 2 nights we had VIP seats for Wishes!!! It was so Magical :)
The entire trip was wonderful, the food, the weather, the EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Although, can someone please tell me what was up with all the "t-shirt tours"??? Holy Toledo!!! We were avoiding them at all cost...the just barreled through the crowds...we were literally pushed around by them....it was a little annoying, but they were obviously having such a great time...I didn't let ANYTHING get to me....We usually go every July and I was just wondering what the BIG deal was with all the same color t-shirts!!!

I hope everyone is having a Disney Day!

Planning the next trip is just about the only thing that beats my Disney blues!

So you say you always go in July? My daughter always wants to go to Disney for her July birthday, but we avoid it due to the heat and crowds. Just how bad is it in July?

And also, always wanted to do the Wishes Dessert Party. Would you recommend it for 8 year olds? Thinking of it for the view and guaranteed seating as opposed to fighting the crowd. Thanks.

I really don't mind the heat in July..I hear August is worse, but humidity is humidity...and yeah, it's gets HOT...I find AK to be the hottest park, but honestly we carry little sweaters with us because once you go in the a/c it's freezing :(
I have never seen the crowds like I did this July...we still got to do all the rides we wanted, well not TToT & RRC..., but that's ok...we did allot!
Now, the Dessert party...absolutely..this is WONDERFUL for ANY age!! It was a really nice surprise my sister planned for us...and I would love to do it again :)

HA! Glad to see its not just me!

After my 1st trip in March of 1997, i left there and felt like i had just buried my best friend, or lost a loved one. An overwhelming feeling of Loss just consumed me. Really hard to explain to folks who have not been touched by the MAGIC.
What helped me was i went back in the Fall of 1997! But that solution was only temporary.
It was on that 2nd trip that me and my soon to be wife decided that when we retire ...i'll be getting a job as a Disney Bus Driver and she'll get a job as a character..........we'll see if that really happens. :-)

No cure for the Disney Blues except to go back. Watching Video of our past trips only makes us miss it more...........

Join the club !! I am in a constant state of Disney depression when I am not there. And it sucks having to flush your own toilet :rotfl2::rotfl:

I'm going in August and I'm already regretting leaving:cool2: Yes, start planning your return! I'll be getting my return voucher and booking before we leave :cool1:

Yup Disney blues were causing my hubby to get pretty frustrated with me haha I was always talking Disney or begging to go ... My cure was helping others plan their trips and I make commission on them to help save up for our family trips. That was just what I needed!!! We went in July for our honeymoon that was my last trip in the summer lots of shirt groups and school tours we couldn't escape

Oh can I relate. we went on a Make a Wish Trip to Disney World and Give Kids the world in February of 2011 and I just finished my trip report last week. I didn't talk too much about in the trip report but a BIG part of the reason it took so long to complete the trip report was the post Disney blues. I was so bad!!!

It's nice to know I wasn't alone in feeling that way. When we got back I felt just like some of you stated... a huge sense of loss.

The good news is it gets better!! As time went on the sense of lose was replaced with a sense of gratitude for all we got to experience!!! So, finally I have completed my trip report!!! :yay::woohoo:

I love the remedy you all have come up with!! Another trip to Disney sounds amazing!! Or maybe even a Disney Cruise... Happiest Place on Earth or Sea... Here we come!!!!:banana::dance3::banana::banana:

Hugs to you!! :grouphug: Keep in mind it does get better!!!

Talk to you later,

Madeline
