I was talking with my husband and casually mentioned how I would love to take a solo trip to the world next year. I about fell off my chair when he said that would be okay. Did I just hear what I thought I heard.

Yes! Yes! Yes!:banana: He did say that!

I have always wanted to do a solo trip. I just can't wait to sleep when I want, get up when I want, ride what I want, shop when I want, and eat whatever I want and at any time. I can just sit on a park bench and people watch. I can pick what to watch on TV. I can just stand and watch the castle without being pulled in every direction. I will get to enjoy the sounds of Disneyworld without three other people chattering the whole time right beside me. :rotfl: Oh my goodness. Can it get any better!

Don't get me wrong, I love to go to Disney and vacation with my family but a mom needs some time to herself once and a while. I have waited 13 years for a trip like this.

I can't wait... I can't wait..... I can't wait.

It was be going around cause my hubby said we can go in May for a Adult WDW trip!! Im soo excited!!:cool1::rotfl::banana:

YaY !! for both of you. I too enjoy my times at WDW with the kiddos but I also love my solo trips or adult only trips. Solo you get to do the things YOU want to do without having to be gracious Mommy or spouse and doing what everyone else wants. Solo you get to be selfish without having to feel guilty about it. I never thought I would enjoy a solo trip until one was forced on me, and while it is not something I would want to do everytime, I do enjoy it once a year....as for Adult only trips I enjoy them any chance I can get them! For solo trips I would get some of the books about hidden treasures at WDW and then go on your own little treasure hunt while you are there. It is amazing the things we can overlook sometimes.!

I could have written this post! Only I'm leaving DH & 3 kids home & I've waited 19 years for a solo vacation! When are you going & where are you staying? Would love to get some ideas for my trip in 11 weeks!

I probably won't get to take my trip until fall of 2011. In the meantime, I'll just plan and plan and plan. I will probably try to stay at PopCentury because of the bus service. If I have to go with the All Stars, then I would choose Movies as my first choice.

I've gone to King's Island many many times by myself. I enjoy riding the roller coasters as many times as I want in any order that I want to. I can go in any shop or store at any time and take my time looking at things. I can just sit on a bench and watch people as long as I want.

I have to admit it was pretty weird the first time I went by myself but that didn't last long. I now try to go at least once a season to King's Island by myself. It is so fun.

I've got a book about hidden mickeys so I thought I would go around and take a bunch of pictures of hidden mickeys and then make a small scrapbook with those pictures. It would similar to the look and find books.

One year and counting!!!

How exciting for you! I can't wait until DH and I go. It will be just us, no kids, and DH has never ever been and knows nothing about WDW, so I have been able to plan my dream trip my way and just kind of drag him along. It's much to my advantage that he knows nothing at all ;) I never considered ever traveling solo, but now you have planted a seed... i love my hubs but I am a much early riser and up and about while he likes to snooze and skip breakfast. I am a foodie and he could care less, so I am already having solo trip dreams, ha ha. Not to mention I have motion sensitivity issues and he adores the thrill rides that I can only watch. Hmmm... maybe I can send hubs off on a boy's trip with his bros? and Mama Cin goes to Disney!!!

I GET every single thing you're saying. Thinking about a 3 night birthday gift to myself next June. Just the thought of looking at every nook and cranny I WANT TO is enticing!!!!!!!!!!;)
