I got my BOG ADR!!!!

Same as Frank, the ADR I made was in February so luckily it was easy enough to cancel the old one and make a new one.

Poor CM was so hesitant in asking me what date I booked as apparently she got quite a few, understandably, upset people that she couldn't make a new ressie for because the dates were all filled.

I have to second PirateFrank...if you made a reservation via the automated service PLEASE call them back ASAP b/c everything will 'disappear' according to the CM I spoke with moments ago.

They had to cancel the one that was booked b/c the system will not let you 'add' a credit card once it is made. But there was one within 15 minutes of the previous ADR so no big deal.

Off to mop my kitchen floor...hands down craziest Dis day ever. :rotfl:

After an hour and 45 minutes on the phone starting at 7am, I got my ressie for Jan 6th, 2 people at BOG. Unfortunately i used the automated system, and it didn't ask for a CC# guarantee (like a LOT of other people !!). I was able to call about an hour ago (only on hold a half hour this time), and there happened to be another reservation 5 minutes prior to the original one i made, so we booked that one, and THEN cancelled the first one i had gotten. What a mess for everyone involved, us AND CM's!!

 HAPPY DANCE! Got a reservation for opening night, Nov 19th at 5:30 PM.

The funny part of this story is that I got my husband on the task too. I have been talking about this reservation for weeks. All weekend I prepped him with, "OK this is SERIOUS! You are going to be on your phone calling at the same time I am going to be on mine, and we both are going to try" And I wrote him out step-by-step instructions. He was making fun of me all last night about it. And in my head I was thinking. "what a disaster. Thank God I have it all figured out"

So this morning, I was all ready, called the line from home at 6:55 and he called from his work. I kept getting the busy signal. I called 60 times in a ROW! I was starting to panic And he texts me and goes, "Do I still have to keep calling?" And I was all, "YES!!!" And he wrote back, "Even though I already got the reservation for the exact date and time you instructed me??"....and this was at 7:05 mind you!

Talk about humbling a Dis'er....LOL, It only took him 5 min to get opening night dinner reservation when I had not even gotten past the busy signal! :rolleyes1

But I have been spending the last hour like a giddy little school girl. My dream reservation. I keep telling my husband "You are my HERO!! You saved the day! LOL"

I have been dreaming of this trip, my first trip to Disney World for 3 years, and Beauty and the Beast is my fiavorite Disney film. This is like a dream come true and the perfect cherry on an already perfect trip!!

Great Story!! :lovestruc:laughing:

Hey folks,

I hate to be the confirmer of bad news, but your BOG ADR *needs* to have a CC# attached to it.

I made my ADR this morning via the automated reservation system after waiting for almost 3 hours.....and I called back at 11:10 to confirm the CC# issue, just got off the phone now (it's 12:00).

Not *only* do you need a credit card attached, but they have to rebook the ADR. Attaching a credit card number to an existing reservation is apparently very difficult and depending on who you speak to, either requires a whole bunch of overrides or is flat out not possible.

Thankfully, my ADR time/date was still available, so it was a case of simply booking a new ADR and canceling the previous one. Had my date/time not been available, I might be out of luck.

I recommend that if you made an ADR via the automated system, you call back immediately and straighten it out!!

It CAN be added to an existing reservation, however, the regular dining line cm's have to speak to a different department to do it. Therein lies the problem and the waiting.

I called back after making my reservation through the automated service. When I got through to a person, they said that all reservations will be cancelled at midnight, whether they are showing up online or not, if they were not held with a credit card. I cancelled my automated reservation at the same time my Disney rep clicked to find the time I was cancelling--so she was able to rebook my same reservation, hold it with my credit card and give me a new confirmation number. There are going to be lots of sad people in the coming months if they don't recheck their ressies tomorrow to make sure they are truly there. I guess my 5 hours of trying to get through and confirm something was worth it. The only time I could get was Thanksgiving night.

Make sure you call with CC number! I just did and there were no more times available. They sent me to someone else and after 30 minutes I got my same reservation. Whew!!!!!

I had to call a ton of times, but now I'm on hold, and have been for 20 minutes. Fantastic. :////////

My TA was able to get my party of 6 reservations this morning for Dec. 30. I don't know how she did it, but apparently the fates are on our side today! :) So excited!

I can't believe this system. I was on hold for almost 2 hours. I booked with the automated system and got a conf.# but it did not ask for cc#. I called back to stay on hold again and was told they had to rebook my reservation, well now I can't get the time I had. The only reservation I could get was at 4:00. I took it because it is better than nothing. This is crazy !!!!!!

:woohoo: December 31st at 7pm

Try this... Guest information, U.K. residents: 0870.24.24.900 (from the UK) or 407.939.7718 (from the US)

I selected the option for restaurant reservation and have 15min of hold i got an agent.

This number (called from the US) got me right in!! I have my ressie for Jan 26th at 6:35!! Yeah!!!!:cool1:

Like a lot of other people said...if you used the automated system without a CC# attached.....PLEASE CALL BACK AND ADD ONE.

We had originally done the automated this morning and decided to call back, and were on hold for about 45 minutes. The CM we just spoke to asked for the CC# and said the only way he could keep the res was to charge a penny. So we did NOT have to cancel our res, same confirmation number and everything. He said the res would absolutely be canceled without the cc# though.

I called a variety of numbers for 1,5 hours and finally got through, it was the automated system. I made a reservation for BOG on 2/14 and then when I went to make a different one the sytem could not understand my name so it transferred me to an agent. After 45 mins on hold, I made a reservation with a CM for 2/11 with a cc. The one made through the automated system is showing up under my reservations but not the one with the credit card hold? I am trying again to get through and still unable, this has been a long morning and now it looks like it will be a long unproductive day!

Just got my reservation, called from 7am-8:20am and gave up, started again at 12:10pm and was able to get through on 407-939-2625. My call went directly to a person:goodvibes I told her the dates I would be there and said I'd take anything. I got 12/19@ 5:40pm and was so happy, I had nothing on that day yet.:cool1: I reserved with a credit card hold and was given a conf.# It is already showing up in my reservations!

4 1/2 hours later... I GOT IT! I got through immediately to a person to 407-939-2625. Got the exact time and date I wanted - 2/6 at 7:30! WOO HOO!

Thanks so much for posting this number!!!

I got right through on it. I tried for 2 hours this am. My travel agent finally got me a reservation but i called back to attach my credit card. The CM i spoke to said you NEED the credit card attached!

Good Luck!!

I did the same right after I got my reservation at 5:25 a.m. Colorado time. It was on our room reservation page with all of our other dining reservations which we made on line. The dining and room reservations are linked and the only dining reservation I had to provide a cc for was Hoop de Doo. I'll probably call just to be on the safe side but I am assuming since room and dining are linked and there is a cc on room that will suffice.

CALL BACK! Just because you associate a dine reservation with your room reservation you are NOT safe. The only thing that does is show the restaurant where you are staying and what package you are on. CC #'s are not connected to or stored in the dine system.

Anyone else who is assuming that you are safe because you associated it to your room or package reservation should call back. If you did not give a CC to book BOG you are running the risk of being auto canceled. I would not trust being told by a dine CM that you are ok without a CC #. We all know here how you can get 15 different answers in 15 different calls to them.

Disney is aware of what the auto system is doing but if you are auto canceled and someone else calls and is able to snag your day and time there is not much Disney can do for you. They are not going to kick out the family that booked properly even if it wasn't your fault.

Sorry not trying to be the party pooper, I would just hate to see anyone lose their hard earned ADR.

I was told the auto system wasn't supposed to be taking bog res and that is why they are having so many problems. Also the dining cms have been told to try to rebook first and if they can't than they can put you through to someone else that can fix it for you. They rebook so you get a new res number but for the same time. A lot of travel agents have been calling with 100s of res that are not correct. Disney should just disregard the c/c guarantee this go round to make life easier for all involved but that doesn't look like it's going to happen. We got a res for 12/17 at 7:10 pm party of 4. When she tried to rebook they only had 4:30 pm left for anyone looking for this date.

Hi Charleyann!!

We cannot thank you enough for helping us out with this reservation! As you might imagine I was quite frustrated after 3 hours of busy signals! When I finally got through there were no reservations remaining between 11/29 and 12/8 :-( Just as my eyes were starting to tear up... I saw your posting and started to laugh instead of cry! My daughter is elated! She's now 12 and has been in love with Belle for 11 years!

It's so nice to know that there are still kind people in this world like yourself. People that are still willing to help others and we cannot thank you enough!
