I got just what I wanted for Christmas!! Snow and Toy Soldiers! March pix add 5/16/11

After we got settled in our room I decided I wanted to go to PM and get something to eat, but Dale and Dallas were ready to settle in, so off I went on an adventure of my own. Here is my walk over to PM

This was one of the court yards by our room.

The next day there was a lady taking pictures of some little girls playing in this fountain.

More of my walk to PM.

I fell in love with this fountain and the area around it. I could totally imagine living in an apartment with this type decor in the court yard.

And when I made it to PM the Three Caballeros were waiting for me.

Now I must say PM is not like any of the other food courts at any of the other resorts in which we have stayed. I asked the Host and he explained to me how it worked, for take out, and then I had it down pat...........lol. I ordered Dale a hamburger from one of the 'markets', I got Dallas a hot dog at another and I got one of the best cheese steak sandwiches I've ever eaten from a different station. I payed and totally enjoyed my stroll back to the room with our food. I do have to say that the hamburger wasn't cooked exactly as Dale likes, but there was scratch marks on the plate when he finished.............lol. Dallas was asleep so he did not eat his hot dog . He later woke up and of course at this time the hot dog was ICE cold. I HAD, notice I said HAD, to order him a small pizza and a piece of cake to be delivered to the room, and I couldn't let him eat alone so I ordered a piece of strawberry short cake to eat with him....... Needless to say we ate very quietly so we wouldn't wake Dale, I mean we would have had to share then.....

Dallas and I got a shower and it was time for bed, well for me at least Dallas had taken a 2 hour nap. I slept better this night, but how much better?

I was excited to see an update! I never finished my Dec TR either I see that you said "our first problem at CSR" We had nothing but DRAMA ther in Sep and ended up switching resorts. I am interested to see how the rest of your stay went.

Hey Mary . I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one who didn't finish up a report. I guess I just got so off track with Christmas, and then planning our March trip, and wedding planning, that I just didn't get it done. I am going to try and do this report quick so I don't forget what happened...........

Thanks Connie. Actually we didn't encounter a whole lot more problems, but the next problem was a big one for me.

I loved the decor so much I looked on the disneyresortcollect.com site to see if they sold it, but alas they didn't

Great updates! You have some fantastic photos of the Flower & Garden Festival decor. What was the deal with the guy sculpting lions out of sand??? I really like CSR room decor. I love the landscaping and fountains there, too. Do you have the Canon Rebel T1i? I must admit- I FINALLY broke down & just bought one. I was just wondering if you had any tips or pointers on using the camera. It is so complicated!
Now that you mention online check-in, it made me remember my experience in December at AKL. We were in that line for over 30 minutes! People in the regular check-in line were whizzing past everyone in the online check-in line.

I wish you could see it too Lisa, it's AWESOME!! I had an awesome day with the girls on monday, and with girls, you can stop to smell the flowers!! With my guys, they don't let me!!

OK, so I have fallen down on posting again . I guess I just need to be taken out behind the woodshed and tended to .

But, on a lighter note, I am trying to rent DVC points for Memorial Day weekend. I think I have Dale convinced to go and I would LOVE to try AKL and see if we want to buy in there. I know we are still looking at 3 years out before we buy, but I like the idea of weighing my options....... I promise to get back to my TR and let everyone know how our March trip went. I do have to say this; it was one of our best trips and really reinforced our desire to buy DVC.

OK here are the plans......leaving to drive down May 27 just as soon as Dale gets home. If he gets home late we will drive to Tallahassee and get a room for the night. If he gets off early we may drive all the way down and find a room somewhere near the park. I have us booked at the DTD Hilton for Saturday and Sunday night. I changed us from the Country Inns and Suites. I love that we get to use EMH by staying at the Hilton. We will likely only hit MK and Epcot since we only have 2 days.

Good news though if I can come up with a down payment we are going to buy DVC. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I can get something going with my 401k. I really really really really want to buy into the DVC at SSR. It really did feel like home.

Looking forward to meeting up with Lisa and her crew again and hope to meet Connie and her gang. I can't wait to see everybody again, I'm just excited!!

April, I sooooo want to buy DVC. I have thought about selling everything that isn't tied down to get my down payment, without having to borrow............ Anyway, if it doesn't work out this time, it will eventually. We will be going back later in the year so if you have plans for later let me know what they are. I think we will prolly go the first week in December again.


I have looked at the rooms and read the reviews on Trip Advisor. I love that site. Anyway, I think we will like it; of late my biggest quest has been to find a comfortable bed at hotels, but alas I don't think I will. The beds at SSR were no more comfortable than the beds at CSR which were not much better than the beds at the Holiday Inn. The most comfortable beds I have ever slept in were at the Crowne Plaza in Atlanta, when Amanda and I went there in November.

When I do buy DVC, we will have to plan an all girls trip with our Disbuds

Glad to see ya posting Dana. You already know how much I wanted to buy DVC. What I wouldn't give done it years and years ago before I was college, private school, wedding, etc. broke.

If you handled Atlanta traffic, you can certainly handle driving to Disney. At least it's main highways/interstates for you. I don't like the part where we have to cut through Mississippi and there's absolutely nothing to look at.
