I got just what I wanted for Christmas!! Snow and Toy Soldiers! March pix add 5/16/11

How exciting to meet up with Christie and her family. Sounds like you guys have alot of fun when you meet up. Dallas and Tyler look like they get along great. Love the video of the Osborune lights they look so spectular. Looks like the crowd is as big as for Fantasmic and the parades. I don't think I'd want to fight the dbl crowds of the lights and Fantasmic. So sorry you did not like your hotel room location, I know you were not happy!
fun update!!! thanks for sharing your Christmas adventure with us....it's the only way I'll get to experience for quite some time, it seems. :santa:
:wave2: Connie

YAAAAY!!! Love the update!! That was awesome, them lights were SOOO worth the crowds!! I just wish we coulda rode TSM and RnRC, but that's alright. Still a fun day!! I like the pics of while we were on ToT too, I like to people watch. You'd be surprised on how many people go during the cold weather in shorts and stuff. I always tell Chris that there goes another northerner!! HAHA Not knocking northerners, ya'll are stronger than we are dealing with the cold!!

Thanks girl :goodvibes. We had a blast spending time with ya'll. When we come in March maybe ya'll can come over and we can meet up again. I agree with you about northrners; my dad was from Brooklyn NY and I can't remember him ever wearing a coat. When we took the kids for the first time it was then end of October, first of November, and we had a couple of cold days; there were people in the pool and we had on jackets......:lmao:.

I sure wish it only took us nine hours to get to Disney so we could go more often.

It's great that you got to meet us with Christie and spend some time with them at HS. It's just too bad the waits were so long! Loved the video. I want to go at Christmas time so badly.

Ummmmm....I would have been freaked out by a 4th floor room at the hotel. I am with you on the heights issues! Were you hugging the walls when you walked to your room. I know I would have.

It looks like 9 hours, but it is really only 8 since we lose an hour crossing into the Eastern time zone. I told Dale if it were up to me we would go every other weekend when I'm off :rotfl2:.

We had a blast spending time with Christie, Chris and Tyler. Dallas always has fun hanging out with Tyler. The waits surprised me; I did not expect it to be so busy. I'm glad you enjoyed the video; I have a lot more and if you want to see them I will send you the link. Dale hinted that he might want to go back this December.

Girl you know me too well; we walked so close to the wall that Dallas ended up with a bruise on his leg where he hit one of the outside AC vents. The inside of the room was pretty nice, but it didn't make up for all the other stuff.

It was awesome spending time with them, I LOVE the dismeets!! I'm in the TR later too LOL So stay tuned!!! HAHA The Osborne lights were AMAZING!!! So georgous, and when they came on, it was like you were lost in them. If you get a chance, go see them one year!! Truly a special experience. We took a while getting out of the park also, I wanted to see Fantasmic, since I've never seen it before, but the crowds were just way too much. So we left, and went to eat dinner LOL It was a little chilly that night, I didn't have too many pictures of Dana this night, but I got some of the next one that I spend with her!! :)

 :goodvibes

It was so much fun meeting up with Christie and her guys:thumbsup2. Dallas and Tyler have fun when they get together. The crowds were much larger than I thought they would be, but it wasn't too bad the rest of the time. We all hated the room location. The hotel's location was great though as it was across the highway from DTD. You are very welcome; I'm blessed to have my Dis friends to share my trips with :goodvibes.

Hi Lady! Just found your report. You're off to a great start!!

I tried Flippers pizza while I was in Orlando in November for my parents vow renewal. It was really yummy!! The whole family enjoyed it so thanks for the tip!:thumbsup2

We hung out with Christie, Chris and Tyler during that trip and had a wonderful time. So cool that we met here on the DIS.

I wish that we could make it in March. I guess it's a good thing I didn't book the other day. The girls will be using those two days they did have off to make up for the 8 snow days they've already had this year. :sad2:

Looks like October will be the big trip this year...although I do have a little something up my sleeve for May but I can't share just yet. :upsidedow

Have a great weekend! Hope you and Niko are feeling better soon!

:woohoo::yay:Leanne is here :woohoo::yay:. Thanks :goodvibes. I hope I can keep on track with this report. I got so off with my May report I honestly started forgetting things :lmao:.

I'm glad ya'll enjoyed Flippers; we can't go to Orlando without getting it at least once a trip.

I enjoyed hanging out with Christie and her guys too!! We hung out together at MVMCP too, so we were able to get together twice :goodvibes.

I hate that ya'll won't be there in March. We will be missing Mary by a week so we won't get to see her either. We really enjoy the cooler months so I don't know if we will be making our July or September trips this year. We also have Amanda's wedding coming up so I'm not sure what our plans will be later in the year :rolleyes1.

I can't wait to hear what your May plans are; maybe we could make a weekend trip down .

Thanks about Niko and me; I am feeling better, but Niko is still walking with a limp.

I hope you have a great weekend too :goodvibes.

Love being close, and having the AP's again, when it's good for ya'll, it's good for us!! LOL Love popping over and spending time with everyone!! Made some awesome friends here on the Dis!!!! :)

wooooooo hooooooo sounds like a plan to me :cool1:. I have been looking at a couple of off site suites and we may stay off site. The Country Inns and Suites have a breakfast buffet in the mornings and it is a 1 bedroom with a king bed and a queen sleeper with a mini kitchen.......hmmmmmm. Sounds like much more room than just a hotel room at Disney. Decisions, decisions, decisions.........:upsidedow.

Oh and I forgot to add; they are pet friendly!!

Pet friendly is good!!! LOL Sounds like a plan to me!!! The more I look into the treehouses, the more I like them, except for the fact that like the cabin, we can only put one car out in the parking lot, the other has to be in the main SSR parking lot. UG! Ah well, we'll make it work somehow!! Tyler still talking about coming with ya'll?? That would be nice! Yea, it's funny how sometimes the decisions are made FOR you!!! LOL

Hey Dana:wave2:

I'm so sorry it took so long to get here! Clearly I need to pay better attention when my Dis-friends start their TR's:lmao:

I would love to live close enough to drive...you know I love to fly as much as Leanne does:rotfl2: Great start and I can't wait to follow along again!!

Oh yay!! I get to start from the beginning. Well sort of.;) I have read a prior TR from you. I am looking to reading this one. I am so envious of those who get to make a couple or more trips in a year. I have to wait at least 2 for mine. Not to cheap to fly across country with the family.
Now they are grown but still I can't swing it yet.:confused3 Maybe next year I can go? So I shall live though TRs. :thumbsup2

Sorry I've been M.I.A.. I hope Niko is doing better. I'm loving the TR so far!

Yes it is. If we take Niko, and put him at the Disney kennel, it will cost $170. We will have to break off and go over there and walk him because he will bite anyone else :rolleyes1. If he is in our room he will be much easier to take care of, and Dale will be happier. I am hoping Tyler comes with us, if not he will keep Niko and we will stay on property. There are so many variables in the mix :upsidedow.

Hey Queen . I'm so glad you are here :woohoo::dance3::yay:.

Don't feel bad; I haven't been a good Diser for the past couple of months so it isn't your fault.

I would love to live even closer.....:lmao:. If we lived too far I don't think I would ever go; I just ain't going to fly :sad2:.

:welcome: Michelle, thanks for following along on my previous report and coming over to this one :goodvibes. I hope I can keep it interesting.

I do feel blessed to live this close to Disney, but one day, one day, I will live close enough to drive to Disney daily....:rotfl2:.

Sorry I've been M.I.A.. I hope Niko is doing better. I'm loving the TR so far!

:woohoo::dance3: April is here too :woohoo::dance3:.
I've been MIA too so don't feel bad :rotfl:. Niko is doing much better, thanks. He still has some weakness in his back legs, but he is at least walking on them and not dragging them. He is really starting to fuss about being in the kennel during most of the day. He is so used to running around the house and playing. He can sit in our laps or be in the kennel, and he doesn't like being held down :sad2:.

I'm glad you are enjoying the report so far; I hope to add an update soon.

Sunday, December 5th found us sleeping a little late due to our long day Saturday. Now, remember I said we had issues with the room at Clarion Inn; when we went to leave the room we could not get the door to open, FROM THE INSIDE!!! So now, we can't get IN the room nor can we get OUT. After much wrestling with the door knob we finally got out of the room. We walked hugging the wall and poor Dallas hit his leg on an A/C vent and put a big bruise on his leg . Anyway, we headed over to McDonald's for breakfast then to Walmart to pick up drinks for the room.

Dale wanted to go to the MK so off we went.

It was a beautiful pleasant day, not too cold.

IMG_3328.jpg

Since this was our first trip during the holiday season I took A LOT of pictures.

The park was really crowded so we slowly made our way down Main Street. I didn't get a picture of the castle walking in because the street was so crowded I didn't want to stop in the middle and get ran over.

We decided to head over to Toontown since it will be closing in February. Dallas and I had only ridden Barnstormer one time and that was when he was 4 or 5, and I wanted to do it one more time before it is gone. Dale decided to wait of us because he didn't want to ride :rolleyes1. We had about a 20 minute wait and when our plane came in we were ready to fly....:lmao:. I had forgotten that this roller coaster, even though it is a kids ride, is pretty intense. We loved it though and Dallas asked if we could get back in line, but the line was too long. Amanda's friend Tracie was on the college program and she worked at one of the stores in Toontown so we went to see her, but alas she wasn't at work :(.

We headed out of Toontown on our way to Fantasyland. I took a couple of pictures of the back side of the castle

In color castle.

The park was really crowded and most of the wait times for the rides was really long. We did ride IASW, and I have to say I don't like the way they have changed up the queue. What was once the exit side of the ride is now the entrance?!?! We were in line for about 30 minutes so it wasn't a walk on.

I love it when the dolls are dressing in white.

It was time to ride BTM. This is my favorite ride at MK. Dale and Dallas like it too. We thought we would ride HM on our way over, but the wait time was 90 minutes, so we skipped it and thought we would just get a FP for BTM and ride it later. We knew it would have long lines, but we were wrong, yes there was no line at all. Surprised? So were we, then we realized that it was down.....:lmao:.

We were starting to get hungry so we headed to Pecos Bill's to get a bite, but again it was so packed there was no eating there. We decided to catch the train back to Main Street and leave the park to get lunch.

We passed an Indian village on our journey.

And a few more random shots on our way out of the park.

We finished making our way out of the park and headed for the monorail. We decided to eat at McDonald's and then head to Epcot.

Up next--Epcot, and how long will the lines be there?
