I got bangs!

I wanted a drastic change, well I got one. I took this cute pic of Reese Witherspoon (with BANGS) to the hair stylist. Well I knew I wouldn't end up looking like her, (one could wish) because I have brown hair. Anyway, I told the stylist, this was a drastic change (I was nervous). We are talking, blah, blah, blah about our kids, next thing I know, she has already made the fateful cut. :scared1: She didn't say how about here, nope its a done deal. I didn't say anything, there wasn't anything she could do, and I didn't want her to feel bad. I wish the bangs were just a touch longer. I needed time to adjust to having them LOL. Well they will grow.

I picked up DS (8) from school, he looked at me, smiled and said "you look weird"

I pre-warned DH before he got home. He is sweet, he said " Its not bad, it looks good" yeah right!

Lesson learned, pay closer attention.

Oh, and my most critical person (DD 16) hasn't seen them yet! Can't wait to hear her response.

I have bangs and hate them everytime I get them trimmed. It takes a day or two for me to like them again.

We need to see a picture! And I hate my bangs when I get them done too.

I finally had my hairdresser do a few wispy bangs at my last trim, but then I decided I needed more (and shorter) bangs, so took the scissors to myself. Well, let's just say I am blessed to have a sister who used to be a hairdresser who was able to rescue me and my crooked bangs!

And it did take a good week or so of my tugging them down on my forehead to feel like they weren't too short!

I think we need a before and after!!

I had my guy give me bangs too. I brought in a picture of Hayden Panentari (I know I butchered her name there!) with kinda side swipe bangs, longer on one side. He did them, and I LOVED them! But its expencive to go back every time I need a bang trim, plus for me, I'd get some highlights, maybe a dye job, etc, so I decided to do it myself at home. I'm not happy, they don't look as good at all! Oh well, they will grow out, and when they do, I'll go back and let him cut them! I'm sure you will feel better about them when they grow in a bit, and you've had time to get used to them - its a big change!

Oh and my DD's reaction: "Oh my gosh" then I showed her the pic, and said this is what it was suppose to look like, then she said "what are you going to do?" Gee, thanks sweetie!

I got bangs this summer and it took me a while to get used to them too. I wanted to do something different but not drastic and my hairdresser (who is a good friend) suggested bangs. I really like them now! It might just take a few days to get used to them.

Don't worry. Bangs grow fast. In a week they will be the right length. :)

I have no idea if this would work for you but if you have a side part is there any way you could try to blow dry them to the side? I know this might not work if they're too short but you might give it a try. I bet if we saw your picture we'd think you look great!
