These rates were not a flat $ amount off so maybe they are getting away from that.

The rates I got for October were:

BWI Standard - $199, regular $329, $130 off, about 40%
BWI Water - $270, regular $405, $135 off, about 33%

I noticed on another post that it was $199 for value season, so they don't seem to be upping the price for regular season.

I'm wondering what types of families are getting the codes. Its frustrating not knowing why you aren't in the specific demographic they are targeting in these emails. I'm dying to get one!!! I called and asked if the reservationist knew who might be getting them and she said she didn't know. Uggh. I'll just have to keep checking my mail!

I've been going to Disney regularly for 10 years, this was the first time I ever got a special e-mail or post card. Last year after I did not get a discount for September (other than AAA), I registered on 3 different family e-mails on disneyworld.com. I got the e-mail on mine. I really think it was random.

Was gone a few days, now I'm back home. I'm hoping for a discount, AP, e-mail, postcard, whatever. I checked the travel section of the sunday Chi. Sun Times hoping there might be something in there with all this talk of new discounts, sorry to say nothing there.

I know! I've been checking my mail and I haven't gotten anything yet either I guess I only feel bad because I see the great rates everyone has been getting... not much I can do at this point except hope for an e-mail or AP rates

Doodlebug939 thank you for the pixie dust! I got my reservation and at the reduced prices everyone here is mentioning.

One item of note, the wonderful CM did verify the pin number from my email but also mentioned that I was getting a discount under the (code removed) code. This is very close to the (code removed) code that was running through September, so I don't know if this will be the new code when the codes are finally released, but I thought it was an interesting comment.

Wow that might be a sign of things to come for some people who didnt get the code. I guess it couldnt hurt for somone to call and ask for that code.

Last night I was told there was no availability for our dates, and I decided to try again today, and I got the Poly for $209, 11/4-11. I'm psyched! It's more than I want to pay, but I'm hoping when the AP rates come out, I can switch it even cheaper. Nothing like that monorail!!!

I am so glad to hear that you got such a great rate and in the spot that you wanted. I wanted to go to the their but the rate is still high for me. My husband suggested that on our big trip in 2006 before we move again (he is military) that we do the Poly Conceirge. Gotta love that guy. And it gives me something to really plan for since it is so far away.

I just got off the phone with Disney. We had reservations starting 9/29 for 4 nights at PC before checking into BCV at $55 a night using the previous code out for stays in Aug/Sept. After reading this thread last night, I called this morning and mentioned to the CM about the new codes and about getting PC for $49 a night. I did not mention a pin code. I just said that I saw where they had new discounts coming out and wanted to see if she could check on this for me. We got the $49 a night rate. I wished her well when I hung up. Thanks for the info about the lower rates.

Just got off the phone, finally! I use my middle name for a lot of things, and apparently, the pin was associated with my middle name. So when I first gave my name and home phone number, she pulled up all our info correctly, but couldn't find the pin associated with it. The email address on the account she found was the same as the email address that the pin went to, you'd think there would've been some data consolidation there! Anyway, after 20 minutes or so, she got some help from someone and she set up the reservation under my middle name (hopefully that won't cause a problem, my credit cards and IDs all have my first name). We reserved AKL standard at $109 plus tax for 12/15. Other rates we asked for:

POFQ - $79
AKL Pool View - $121
AKL Savannah Std - $151

We just needed our first night's stay because we already had ressies from an SOG overflow rate for the rest of our stay.When I told her we already have reservations through SOG for 12/16 to 12/25, she insisted we check if my rate could be beat by this discount pin (I knew there was no way LOL, our rate for CR tower is $179). She was like "oh wow you're getting a bargain"

I just got the email, too! What's up with that, sending emails at 10:45pm??? I fired off the information to DU, with whom I made my reservations...hopefully, they'll be able to apply the discount for our stay in Nov! How am I going to sleep tonight?!?!?

I just got one too and mine was at 12:06am? Not that I'm complaining, but a very odd time. I will call in the morning and see if I can get it applied to my current res.

Checked all of my wife's and my email inboxes, no email. Enough already, we are going to WDW for the 2nd time in two years, webuy our daughter all kinds of Disney stuff, where's the love, send us an email, or release some kind of discounts soon please. Now for the rest of the week, I have to leave for work before 5 a.m. I won't be able to check on the boards or call until the afternoon. I was hoping for today.

Hooray! Checked my email this morning and there was the email! We changed our $265 AAA rate at the CR Garden Wing to a garden view at the Poly at $233 (tax inc).




It's our 12th anniversary today too! What a great present!!!
