I Got An Email

I got an email. I'm soo excited. I was able to book the standard room at the Contemporary for a max. of 10 days at 149.00. Other rates were 137.00 courtyard view-Wilderness, 209.00-Poly- garden view, 249.00- garden view at the GF, 121.00 pool view at AKL. I hope this helps someone.

Ceroarty...if I understand correctly you were only aable to book a mx. of 10 nts is this correct?
 
Yes, I was able to make my reservation today with the email code for 10 days. That is all they said I was allowed.

Be sure to call the number listed in the email - it prompted me for my code before I spoke to a CM. It's not the standard 407-WDisney number.
 
I didn't get an e-mail. I have actually never received an e-mail, postcard, etc. We go when AP discount rooms are available as that is the only discount we've ever been able to get - and it's not a bad discount either. We go down to WDW quite often from up here in Massachusetts (4 times this past year and just as many times each of the previous several years - all deluxe resort stays). We had planned on going this Fall and possibly between Thanksgiving and Christmas too but if there are no AP discounts available, no general room discount codes, and if we do not receive a postcard or an e-mail, we'll make vacation plans and spend our vacation budget elsewhere closer to home.

I DO, however, anticipate AP discounts coming out soon as they always had them in past Fall seasons. I'm just wondering what one has to do to get an e-mail or a postcard once (been registered EVERYWHERE I could for Disney promos for a long time).
 
I got the e-mail today too, actually I got 2 of them, sent to 2 of my e-mail addresses. I wonder how they decide to send these out because they obviously didn't notice that they sent the same person 2 of the same discount. It's not even like I have different names, and the e-mail addresses are exactly the same, except for the domain. Also, someone asked if the people getting the e-mails had trips booked. We didn't, and planned to go next in April, but this e-mail might change things cause $49/night is hard to pass up, especially with APs.Oh, and our recent trips include 1/03, 2/03, 10/03, 5/04, and 2 trips in 6/04.

was the code the same on both your emails? i'm curious if this is a PIN like a postcard or if they are just sending out emails about a code discount...

can anyone who received one let us know if it specifically says its not transferable?
 
I got the e-mail and immediately called!

She had to search around but eventually found it. I am goint to try back again to see if I can get something better.

What I got is:

Pop Century - 12/1=12/9 Standard Room $49

Some quotes:

Port Orleans Riverside - King room only - $104.81
Port Orleans French Quarter - No availability

Coronado - only those suites available (I forget the name) $109

AKL - Poolview - $121
AKL - Savannah - was available but I forgot the price


The AKL was tempting, but I am saving for the Repositioning cruise next may.

I really wanted POR or Coronado. I am going to keep trying.

And last night I got FABULOUS deals on airfare!! So this is a great 24 hours!

I checked and no, the codes are not the same in the 2 e-mails. They're not even similar numbers, so I'm guessing that if they change the numbers for each e-mail sent by one, then mine are very far apart. Also, it does say non-transferable on the e-mail.

Does anyone know if you can book a stay before the code ends and have your stay continue, like a regular code would work? I'm thinking that a pre-Christmas trip would be nice, but we can't go till 12/17. We'd probably stay till the 22nd, as we've done the Christmas/New Year's period before and I don't think I'm brave enough to try it this year when our daughter will be 10 months old. So would the code be valid throught he 22nd, or at least past 12/19?
 
EpcotKilterFan, I called the number on the email immediately after receiving it and was told that I couldn't book any rooms and could get no rates until Monday the 2nd. How were you able to get rates and/or book a room?

Just curious............
 
I called the number listed in the email, entered my pin and spoke to a CM who said I could book today. Perhaps some CMs were not informed???
 
She did not say anything about a date, and there is nothing on the e-mail. She searched for a good 5 minutes before she found it. Did not have any indication that it was not allowed to be booked. My curiosity is that maybe not all of the rooms assigned to that doscount have been released. Since all they had at POR are King rooms.

She called it the Sept-Dec mail offer. I do not think they can "not" make the reservations since the e-mail was sent and no date was listed.

Maybe call back and talk to a different CM

I got a code. Too bad that I can't use it. We aren't going until next December. I've gotten a couple different emails recently. I guess I finaly made it onto the list. Hopefully I stay there!
 
please PM me ! Myself and my sons would really appreciate it! As it looks like out last WDW trip for a long time, I would be glad to return the favor if I ever receive a code or post card. ( Though I must say the postcard will most likely not come as I live outside the US)
