10/17 is weird. 10/11 is Columbus Day, maybe they have a typo. You'd think they would black out Columbus Day weekend.

When I called the CM told me the info that he had didnt show any blackout dates but that doesnt mean that it will not change before Monday.

For those of you who have gotten the Email postcards, did you already have rooms booked? We are booked at WL woods view 12/3-12/7 then Poly GVC 12/7-12/11 with a AAA rate-of course we've been waiting for a better deal!!

I got one too!! It was sent today at 1:07. To answer some of the questions--
I am registered at Disney.com.
I did not have a reservation for this time period.
I visited this past June and last October.
There's a golf tournament that begins on 10/18 at Disney. I can't imagine that this would be the reason though since any televised portion of the tournament would be from the 21st to the 24th.
Is the soap star event during the 10/17 to 10/20 blackout?

I have already reserved a room and am looking for a discount for my travel dates of Oct 13-18. I never receive postcards either as I live in Europe! Is all hope lost for discounts that don't require and email or postcard??

Why would they send out e-mails and not already have the capability in the system to allow you to book a reservation with the code? Disney's reservations procedures are bizarre and inconsistent to say the least. We didn't get an e-mail either...hope some other codes come out for November.

OMG...I deleted mine! It was sent to my hotmail addy and I just glanced at it and deleted it! Now, reading this thread reminded me and I can't fish it out of the junk box..it's GONE!!!!!!!!

On the email, they quote rates for Value and Moderate resorts but have no rate quotes for Deluxe resorts. I wonder if they sent the email out before they put the rates into the system to see what kind of response they would get. That response might determine how much of a discount the deluxe resorts are going to get. If they get a huge number of calls inquiring and wanting to book rooms for that time period, they may think that they don't need to discount the rooms as much.

Just have someone forward their email to you. When you call, I'm sure they can lookup your info to see that you were part of the mailing.

2 days ago i had to call to change our end of Aug - beg. of sept. from 1 room AKL to 2 CBR cause dd15 will have 2 friends coming. now while i was on the phone the really nice cm says "Do you have an e mail with us, or can we e mail you". well we had switched cable co. and we dont have our reg email on this. now im so mad..........i actually did have a postcard , but it was only like 5 - 10 dif. in prices anyways. (which is still better than no postcard). maybe ill call and check with them again about it. oh well.....................we will still be going.
