I Got A Sizzix!!!

I'd mentioned to my dh I wanted one but that I was too cheap to buy the machine AND an alphabet. He and the kids got me the machine and a couple of dies for Christmas. The good news is I'm working a temp job for a few weeks in January and now I KNOW I'm spending my earnings on an alphabet!!

So, Ann I got a Sizzix for Christmas too! I also got a scrapbook, some really pretty paper, and some extra sheets for the scrapbook.My parents also bought me a letter set, numbers, and the ",&, # ! set. Have fun with it!

Unfortunately I live an hour from a Michaels. And they don't advertise the coupons in my paper. It depends which clerk you ask when you're there if you'll still get the 40% or not.
I have been to www.sizzix.com and studied the dies. I'm going to start a wish list!
I got the die that has 4 different sized circles on it. I had to try it, of course! When I showed my dh he said he got it because he thought I could make snowmen with it!! Even he's getting creative! LOL!!

I got one too! And DH let me order an alphabet set. I bought the shadow set on ebay for $99! Mom bought me a few dies too!!! Going to start clipping those coupons!

Creative Express has a website and they can send you a catalog. They carry the dies and sometimes offer discounts.

I got one too! I got one too! I got one too! Can you tell I'm excited! The funny thing is when I was a teacher we had an ellison press at our school, I was always so busy I sent my aid to do all my cutting for me. I never knew how much I would miss it one day! My DH got me the alphabet set too. Actually I went the day after Thanksgiving and helped him get it Can wait till Sunday to get my first Micheal's coupon.

Hello! I've never posted on this board but I also got a Sizzix for Christmas. Now what to do with it? I'm saving up for an alphabet set but are there any die cuts you use all the time?

I would buy them in a theme like Christmas, Birthday, that way you feel like you have something. until you get alot more. Have fun. You will love it.

Septbride- I bought an alphabet set that I think I'll use alot. I also bought a frame die. I can see using it to highlight a picture or journalling. I have to admit that when I looked on sizzix.com I saw several dies that I thought "What would you ever spend money on THAT for?" LOL!!
I'm planning to get a sizzlets alphabet too so I have 2 sizes to choose from.

Hooray to everyone who got a Sizzix for Christmas!! My DH said he almost bought me one, but wasn't sure I really wanted it, duh!! Oh well, our anniversary is in two weeks, so maybe then. Have lots of fun!
