I got a PIN!!!

Hi everyone,

I just had to share my fantastic news! I've heard so much about people getting PIN codes and I hadn't recevied any (or so I thought). I also read how some would call Disney and got a nice CM on the phone who would look to see if they had any PINS associated with their name, and thought, heck why not call? Well I did and talked with the nicest CM, Vincent. He checked and I actually had 3 different PINS. The one that I really wanted was there (free dining in December up until the 17th for everyone in your party)!!! This PIN just saved me over $500 and I think I'm going to extend my stay by a night. Just wanted to put it out there, that even if you haven't received an email or a postcard with a PIN, it sure can't hurt to call and ask.

That's so Awesome! We also got the free dining in December pin and this saved my family of 7 over $1,000. Yeah, we are super excited for sure!

Thanks for the heads up on just calling them and asking about the pins. I would have never thought!

Good for you, and great that you got a great CM that helped you.There has been quite a bit of discussion on this board about how there is a new policy that says CMs can't check for pin codes associated with your name. Glad it worked out for you!!

I GOT A PIN I GOT A PIN!!! Sorry to shout but... I GOT A PIN!

I called tonight 3 times. First 2 CM said they could not look it up I had to tell them pin code. As they say 3rd time is the charm.The voice of aan Angel answered and told me I had a pin for travel dates Aug 23 - Dec 17. We are saving over $500!

Congratulations!! It does totally depend on the CM. I've been waiting and waiting for a PIN for the month of October.....checking my emails 20x a day, my regular mail. Finally, I called Disney and the CM said my current PIN goes through Oct 3 (which I knew.....) and I was so disappointed because my travel dates are later in October, and the CM said "wait and let me see what I can find" and she began "searching" and first said "I can get you the BC for 266," then she said "wait and I'll see if I can find it for lower" and she proceeded to find it for $220 something. I was so excited and floored that I almost couldn't speak! It's the 40% deal that she was somehow able to apply to my reservation, so there has to be some sort of generic way the CM's can apply a discount. I kept waiting for her to say "oh sorry it won't work for you" but she quicky and easily reserved my room. I hope everyone eventually finds a CM that goes above and beyond.

I got the free dining pin too. Couldn't believe it when it showed up in the mail. We had already planned a trip and the pin is in our dates. We were going to stay off site but since we get free dining we decided to stay at disney

Can I ask what number you called? After reading this I called the number on the WDW website and the CM who answered sounded really cheery. I told her my travel dates (nov 21-27) and asked if there were any discounts available for me. She didn't sound so cheery anymore and said there are no discounts available past Oct 3. I asked if she knew if any would be released and she said we don't ever know.

No magic for me either. I called and talked to a very nice CM who tried, but she said the system wouldn't show her that information. Congratulations to all of you who got the PINs! I'll probably try again in the coming days. Never give up!

Me Too! Free Dining for 7!
I called to try to figure out best deal between Disney package and Southwest Package. I was chatting with the CM a bit and asked if he thought any discounts would be coming out for December. I mentioned I heard that some people were getting PINS for dining. He put me on hold, then came back and said "Oh, I do see that you have PIN for free dining associated with your household."

This was for early December. I called back later to work a few more numbers and moved the dates to later in December and still had free dining. We are going 12/12 - 12/20.

I tweaked my dates a bit because of air fares and found that I could stay an extra day for $305 and pay $350 less in airfare. It's like SW and WDW paying me to hang out an extra day!

Man I got the free dining pin for Dec. I was telling my DH that if we got the pin that was a sign. Only thing is that I don't think that we'll have the money to go this year. We are planning a trip for Dec 2010. What to do?!?!?!

I'm so glad for those who have gotten a code.....really I am. But......I think I am the ONLY person who hasen't gotten one!!!! I'm so mad!!! I really want to take a trip in November, but probably won't be able to without some kind of a code.

I got one for free dining, can't use it though. Makes me wanna cry! We had to cancel our trip this summer and probably can't go back until next summer. I got the pin after I cancelled our other trip.

I called and the cm looked up our names and reservations and was very kind, but we have NO pin codes I would love free dining as money is tight for this trip. Thanks OP for posting this though. I make try again closer to our arrival date.
