I got a pin, right address, wrong name

I got a pin in the mail. It is my address but doesn't have my name, has someone else's that doesn't live in the house. Any suggestions? Think they'll give it to me?

Yes Absoulutely! Give them a call and make sure you are booking in the targeted dates (at least check in date must be in the targeted dates) Everyone that has the address on the card is able to use it. It is for household so yep you just got a 40% off card! If you get a CM that won't honor it, call back. I would just call the number on the card which asks you to put in the pin from the start of the call. Good luck!

I also received a pin with the wrong name but right address. But I have heard that the pin belongs only to the person whose name is on the card, and not to anyone else at the same address. I sure hope you are right!

I got a card with my sister's name on it, but my address. I was told that my sister had to be in one of the rooms for me to get the 40% off. This was after the CM checked with a supervisor.

I would call back again. That is just not correct. You can use it for your household. I have done this many times, because they keep sending my PIN with my MotherInLaw's name. And I'm not taking her to Disney again! Keep trying if you really want this discount. Do not feel bad about calling back. You are entitled to this discount! Good Luck!

Although the previous poster has had a different experience, I think they tend to be pretty lenient with this being used for "the household" if that "household" person it is mailed to is family (same last name) or have travelled together so the names are in the system together. However if it is to the previous owner of the house .... then well... however the best way to find out is to call Disney themselves and ask.

I called CRO on this one as I got the right address, but the name on it was my friend WHO HAS NEVER LIVED at my address. When I questioned it, they told me ONLY the name on it could use it. They will check your ID at check-in...

This is so frustrating for everyone. To get such different answers. My MIL has NEVER lived at my address and her last Name isn't even close to our last name so there is not a chance they thought we were related. We did go on a trip with her and she was on another room with my address listed on the reservation. I have called different numbers over the last few days (called the number on the postcard and entered the pin directly, or called CRO at the 407-wdw-info number and asked if they show a PIN with my name) All the times I have been able to use the discount. GO figure! If it is important to you, keep calling until you get the right person. Never once (I've talked to about 6 CM's getting quotes on different dates) have they said I would need the postcard or Pin.

I posted this same situation yesterday. Received a postcard at my home addressed to my friend. We traveled together in 2005 with the rooms being under my name and address and she was merely listed as a person in one of the rooms. After encouragement from my DIS friends I called and was able to use the PIN!! The CM knew my friend's name from the PIN but when I explained the situation and said "I was told I could use the PIN since it was sent to my house" she said "yes, that's true". Her name was Rebecca with Disney Travel Company.

I just booked with post card that came to my house but was addressed to my mother. She doesn't live with me.

CM pulled up our address and never questioned my mother's name. I didn't bring it up either! She gave us the 40% discount.
