I Got a Perfect Score on Buzz!

In the first room there is a giant robot swinging his arms on the left side...you need to aim at the target on his Left arm..the second arm. Each hit there will get you 100,000 pts.
In the second room there is a volcano on the right side in the back. You need to aim for the top target on the volcano, that will give you 25,000 per hit.
Then there is a giant Zurg in a ship on the right in the next room...you have to aim for the bottom target on the ship, directly under Zurg...that is also 100,000 per hit.
There's one more in the video room, but it's much harder to hit. The first 3 should get yo maxed out.

Good Luck space rangers.

I'm SO EXCITED to try this. My father ALWAYS beats me - not any more! :cheer2:

Our whole family now hits the max score almost every time through. We still love it, but hate the rides with guns that have weak lasers. Some are so bad that you simply can't hit a distant target and register the score.

I can't wait to show this to my DS12. He hit a perfect score about 2 yrs ago just by lucky shooting and started a war with older brother and dad over who gets high score each time. Unfortunately they usually did, until now! He will be sooo happy and I think it will be our little secret, at least for a while.

thanks Lauren, I always come in dead last no matter what. Not going to tell my gang why I got so good all of a sudden! ;)

Yep - this attraction sooooo badly needs to be refubished. Have the time the lasers don't register or work properly and the ones that do are so worn out anymore my thumb is beyond sore when its over :headache:

The last time we rode it was just filthy inside and worn out. They really need to redo it.

We were just in DLR last November and had a chance to ride Buzz's Astro Blasters there - sooooooooooooo much better than Space Ranger Spin. Much more challenging and being able to take the controller out and move it around was awesome :thumbsup2 I really wish they'd redo WDW like that one.

Congrats to all of you.
But I am still wanting to know, does it work to just hold down the trigger or does it need to be released and pressed to register on a target?

I agree that Buzz needs to be updated. The laser guns in DL and DLP are SO MUCH better!!! They pull out on a cord so you can literally turn your body around and shoot. It's so much easier and more fun. I really hope they decide to add those to WDW.

Here's a photo of the lasers in DLP:

Congrats to all of you.

You can hold the trigger down and it will keep firing (theoretically - some work better than others). Just be prepared to have your thumb joint replaced when your done :rotfl: My thumbs always hurt so badly when I'm done!

There are several 100,000 point targets. Once you learn where they are it kind a sucks the fun out of it.

Ya I kind of agree.
We really like Buzz but can hit perfect score at least once a trip now.
Which is why we prefer TSMM. Much more challenging.
But still love to ride Buzz when we get the chance.
