Congrats!!! That's fantastic to find a job you love & close to home is a great bonus!

I also was/am good at a job I despise. I still do it PT but have transitioned into another field. It's tough to leave a job you hate if the money is too good or makes it worthwhile to stay.

Your right about that Betty. I am the same way.

You can be very good at a job and still hate it. God knows my father did it for 20 years!

Congrats OP, having a job you like that also pays the bills is priceless!

And man, what is it with this board? People seem to always have to throw in mean-spirited comments that are based on their opinion, with no knowledge of the facts or circumstances, and it just feels rotten sometimes. I think we can be better than this.

It's just thier way of feeling "superior" I find that in the real world this is the "miserable" people in life. In other words, "If I am miserable I will make sure everyone else is too"

And I can attest to being great at job and hating it... I got outstanding reviews/promotions etc in my first job as a Sales Tax auditor... WORST JOB I ever had. (But I brought in big bucks to the State of Tennessee!)

No worries it didn't bother me I've been on message boards for a long time.

As for why the kids rooms were not off limits - I had three kids under 2 that needed to nap in playpens. I had to put them in separate rooms in order for them to get a good quality nap. The daycare kids were not allowed to "play" in there, but the babies did sleep in them.

Woooooohooooooo! So happy for you. I did in home daycare when my kids were small but there are huge sacrifices. So gad you can set hours etc.
