I got a card from DH yesterday (he's in Iraq) and...

it made me cry. I had to share it with ya'll. It says:
"Sometimes you gotta be where you gotta be...I just wish you were closer to me."
Funny how a hard core soilder can get sappy when deployed. I like to keep all his letters and cards he sends home to shove in his face when he's being a giant brat and laughs about how only momma's boys are emotional!

Awwwe..what a great post! I'm sure he misses his family greatly. I can't even imagine how hard it is having a loved one/husband in Iraq! I am so proud of our service men and women over there fighting for their country. The are the best.

Some folks tend to forget that freedom has NEVER been free...
that's why our military is in Iraq...
