So, my wife and I wanted to stay on property for our trip this coming Feb 1-5th and we are annual passholders. About 2 weeks ago, I went onto the passholder site to see what I could get for a discounted room. The site was still advertising a best rate program price of $49/nt at value resorts up until Feb 5th (if booked within 60 days). Why was the site still advertising this price, even though we COULDN'T book it due to being within the 60 days is beyond me.
Anyway, I decided to email Disney and tell them that I thought that stunk, that the price was still being advertised on the passholder site, and I couldn't get it. I told them I was paying more to stay at a off-site hotel, and I would prefer to stay with them.
Well, 2 weeks passed, and we are now up to this week. THANK GOSH, the new AP rates came out this week, and the Best Rate is gone. As soon as I heard this, I called Disney and booked a room at the AKL for $109/night. Well, the day after I booked the room (which was yesterday -Jan. 12th), we got a call from Disney.
My wife answered and they told her they were calling about my email and and complaint about the Best Rate Program rate on the passholder site. My wife was actually un-aware that I email about that and wasn't sure what the CM was talking about. The CM then proceeded to tell her that she also noticed that we rebooked for those night at the AKL under the new AP rates.
The CM then proceeded to tell my wife to tell me that they appreciate the email and my thoughts on the situation. The CM also said that they really do read the email complaints from us (the vacation-ears
) and to always let them know if we are not happy.
So.....if you have a complaint, send them an email, it never hurts and they seem to really appreciate them and read them.
