I go to Disneyworld because...

I personally love Disneyworld ( otherwise I wouldn't be on this message board ) but I honestly go because I love what DW stands for and the atmosphere that they provide while Im there. I am not a huge fan of the characters, I guess I just look at them as an extra. Im curious if anyone else feels the way I do.

I voted for the atmosphere and the characters but DisneyWorld is my happy place and my escape from the real world.

I go for both. It's feeling like a big kid at heart when Pluto comes up to me and gives me a hug and waiting in a line full of little girls to have my picture taken with Belle. And it's also feeling like I'm in another world where pirate ships can fly and I can go soarin across California while I'm in Florida and listen to a turtle talk about his son, Squirt.
I can't imagine one without the other. To me, it's a package deal. Without the great atmosphere and those wonderful characters, I don't think Disney would be the same for me.

I don't know if I can articulate this very well, but I'll try. I go to Disney World with my family (husband and two daughters) because we're just "better" there. Getting away from our daily lives and going to a world where our only agenda is to have fun being together rejuvenates us as a family. After this past trip in August, I really felt like we left there better than when we got there, and I can't wait for our next trip!

I go for everything! I love the atmosphere and I will admit to running to see a princess a time or two. My girlfriend and I were told by a cm to stop running when we went to see Cinderella. I know that I get way more excited to see characters then my kids do.

Some people ask us why do we go to DW when DL is just a few hours away. We tell them that we go to DL, but it is just for a day to get away, where as DW is a vacation that we enjoy for a whole week. DW has more to offer. There are some things at DL that we wish were at DW, however DW remains the place we look foward to going to all year long.

What I love about WDW is going there with DD6. Many others on this board don't share my opinion, but for me, WDW is for kids. I wouldn't go without a kid. I do enjoy WDW, but if I were going on an adults only vacation, it wouldn't be to WDW.

There are so many reasons I love it................

--we get our DD's all to ourselves
--there are no activities to run to & no schedules
--I don't worry about my business (well, not too much)
--my DD's act like kids again
--there is sunshine almost every day

I could probably list many more, but bottom line is that we just have a great time. It's almost something I can't describe - it's just a great time! I know many of you Disney fanatics understand!
