Our goof-ball 16 year old son had an accident, and will need surgery to fix a broken bone.

Surgeon is on vacation this week. Looking for another... but it's not a guarantee. We won't go unless we are with him during the procedure and he has a good day recovering.

We shall see. The stars aligned for the trip to come together... meaning I had to fly grandma in, we prepped all meals, lined everything up, etc., etc., etc. But no way to plan for how kids can always change something! Oh well. There is always a Husband & Wife getaway in 10 more years! lol

He's going in tomorrow for the surgery, so it looks like if everything goes well we'll keep our trip.

Next hurdle will be the 4"-8" snowstorm that is supposed to happen during out departure time! Always something!!!
