Thanks to all of you here, what I thought was going to be checking out some message boards to help me do a little planning...
...has bought me the dining plan.
...has gotten me familiar with what's on the menu at almost every restaurant in the World.
...has gotten my kids begging for pictures of food.
...has gotten me actually taking notes on what to do in WDW (and not enough notes in what I should be doing on this pc, which is my masters degree classes :earseek: ).

I am obsessed.
When we booked this trip, we booked for the resort and the whole she-bang because I told my dh we would probably only go this time, since our girls are old enough to enjoy it, and one more time when our boy is old enough to remember and enjoy it. :rolleyes1
I fear for the revelation of how life is actually going to be. :rotfl2:

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I am rolling on the floor.. breath, just breath.. and no this wont be the first time you go.. because once you go you will be awed by Disney and it will draw you back year after year after year.. we started going when my first child was 6.. she is now 20.. and we manage to find something new every single time we go..... :sunny:

Get ready to become an addict! My DH and I always said that we would only go every 3-5 years. Well, well, well.....Check out our track record at the bottom. We were just there in April and already have reservations for Dec. We even drive.......15 hrs. from WV. We're only going for 3 days this time and still making the drive. We absolutely LOVE it!!! :goodvibes

My DH became a semi-addict after we bought our first seasonal passes. There has always been some reason to go again ... and again.... and again.

When we weren't going to buy passes again, whose online renewing them? DH :rotfl:

But since I've been on these boards, I've become the Disney Expert with my friends. One went in July and wanted my help with planning. They almost didn't get to eat in Cindy's Castle, but I kept telling her to call and make ADR's for it.

Now a friend at work wants info about planning a trip that will include an 8yo. She mentioned it yesterday and was probably surprised last night with the information that I sent her. Got some more for her today. She is probably going to be overwhelmed with everything that I am going to throw at her. What with ADR's, discount codes etc. :earseek:

But since we have already booked a trip for the same time frame as they are going, its going to be really easy for me to give her most of the information that she will need.

I am a Disney'Holic and Disboard Addict and Proud of It!

Hello, I'm Lara and I'm a Disneyholic. I have no intention of getting "clean and sober" and the only 12 steps I want to take are the ones that take me closer to the castle.

Oh yes that is me too! My friend sent me the link to this board when she heard that I was going in November. Now I am obsessed! I come on the board at least once a day to see the updates, trip reports, rumors, everything! I have a notebook with all the notes I have taken, have made our meal plan iteiniary, the works! Hubby thinks it is great!

Have fun!

LOL Welcome to the CLUB!!!:cool1: Enjoy the ride!! You will want to keep going back. Trust me. We go every 2 yrs or so. This year it will be two times for us. We went on a 7day land and sea cruise which included the parks this past May. Then one of my friends asked me if I would be interested in going with her and son and bring my two boys. SIGN ME UP!!! 22 more days till we go again!!:flower:

I can't wait to have some Florida sunshine as its cold, rainy and crappy in Jersey right now

Don't worry. You'll go on your trip so that your girls can enjoy it. You will see how much fun they and your DS enjoys it too, even at such a young age. Then you'll bring him back to enjoy it even more (like you said). But once you are back from that second trip, you think, "Well, we can't let the kids forget about their experience (nor me and DH) ....sooooo, lets book another trip." Then another and another and another....yup, you're hooked. And it is such a wonderful addiction. :goodvibes

We just had a Brinks security person in checking something out at our house. He mentioned he had his wedding at WDW and that immediately started up a whole Disney conversation extolling how wonderful it is. Then that night my DW and I just finished our first Mickey ::MickeyMo decorated room (this is a big thing, since my DW pretty much has our house plucked right out of a Pottery Barn catalogue).

The addiction just never ends....at least I hope it doesn't

I am Babar41 and I am a Disneyholic. It all started 21 years ago when my DH took me for the first time. I live in a constant state of planning my next trip. While some family members and friends have tried to stage an intervension, they have gone so far as to have travel agents send me information about Ireland tours, cruises, the castles of Europe... they have been unsuccessful. I am still adicted to Disney. They say the first step in recovery is to admit you have a problem. The problem is, I don't have a problem. The ones with problems are the ones that don't get Disney.

No, I'm not in denial. I'm in "magic". Irishmommyof4, welcome to the club. Now sing with us M-I-C see you real soon! K-E-Y Why? Because we love Disney!! :wizard:

I am also a Disney'Holic and Disboard Addict and Proud of It! Can't find a cure.. only one thing to stop the thoughts of Disney for a meer moment and thats planning and going on another trip....!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl2:
:rotfl2:

I think I am on my way to becoming a DisBoard addict. Admiting you have a problem is the first step isn't it? :) I have not been coming here long but feel like I am making up for lost time. We are going to WDW the end of Nov and I am at this website everyday reading posts and asking questions to make sure I don't miss a thing.
Last night I spent so much time here I forgot about dinner for my 4 kids! Just before bedtime they reminded me they had not eaten so it was cereal for everyone! Luckily DH was at work because I don't think that would have gone over to well with him. :goodvibes

Wow, have you found the right place!
I Love WDW, and all things Disney. You'll find that planning trips to the World will keep you happy, even if the trip is years away. There are so many details, so much information, and even when you hear it over and over again, you'll still love it.

It really is an addiction, but there are worse things to be addicted to!

I've been addicted since our first trip. My husband won't let me THINK about another trip until our middle DS is 13. He's only 8 .... so I have 5 years of joyful planning and reading the DisBoards

Hi welcome to the club. I am on trip number 2 this year. I havent even gone on that one yet and the gears are already grinding on my planning for trip in 2007. Disney and these boards are truly an addiction. I get withdrawals if I go more than a day without checking these boards and I also feel sorry for the person who happens to mention to me they are going to disney. You are not alone in this. Of all the addictions you can have this is a good one because it makes great memories. :earboy2:

Totally Disney addicted! I was addicted before I even found these boards (planned 3 trips this year!)... now that I have these boards to read every day, it's even worse! Once this trip is over, I'll have to start planning the next one. :) (I don't know if I can wait a whole year though.... )

Amen sista!!!!!

We made our "once in a lifetime" 11 day trip to Disneyworld over New Years 2003. I went once as a kid... everyone should go once.
Well, obviously we stayed too long and it got in our blood!
We LOVE it! :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsboy: Any you will too! And you'll be oh so glad you planned!

Cookie Princess (joking nickname since this germ freak dropped her toll-house cookie on the Main St. sidewalk and ate it anyway out of desperation) here to join the club.

I am an expert WDW planner, but I must admit...this Dining Plan has me spooked. It has turned me into a babbling fool, and I just keep working and reworking that dining schedule adjusting ADRs as I go. DH has forbidden me to speak the phrase "dining credit" in his presence. I have never been quite this frazzled in my planning. Who has time for cleaning (turn the lights out and you won't see the dust), cooking (let's call Domino's) or "marital relations" ("sorry...can only focus on the DIS boards right now, dear") with this dining plan haunting me? I need HELPFUL tips from someone who has lived through the dining plan experience and arrived safely on the other side (post vacation). :hourglass - 20 days and counting!
