I found the BLT points chart!

Holy Cow!!! A Lake view GV in Adventure season is 619 points a week. Compare that to an AKV GV in Adventure season for a hundred points less, and the AKV GV will have a savanna view!!! Nope...no interest in that at all! Heck, I'll never be able to get the AKV one even though I would love it! I think I'll be sticking to our OKW GVs at 356 points for that same week! Of course, a LOT more people are going to be begging for those great value OKW GVs now too!

Diane: That just makes our home resort 11 month window all the more important for our OKW GV's!

I played around with the calculator a bit. A MK-view Grand Villa for the Friday after Thanksgiving will run you 215 points...FOR THE NIGHT!

Nope. I'm perfectly happy staying at the other DVC properties. I'll leave BLT for others.

Me too! We just added another 100 (we just bought this past Saturday ) to our 200 so have 300 points at AKV and we just LOVE LOVE LOVE the resort. BLT doesn't appeal to us. Too modern/urban for us!

I believe I read somewhere March 2009 for BLT owners and May 2009 for non-BLT owners. I think ressies start in September 2009. Someone please double-check this for me .

Our guide told us that March 1, 2009 BLT owner can start to book for the opening of Sept 1, 2009.

The point levels for standard view are pretty much in line with with BCV - a point or two over a week premium.

Nothing about club/concierge rooms I see...

Also, in case this hasn't been mentioned before, the FAQ lists the deed lasting until January 31, 2060.

I am sure we will stay here now and then. Most of our trips will be at our home resorts though.

After more thinking, I'm ging to pass!! I almost considered selling all my VWL points we have 300 and I think the average price is 64 a point, we could have then purchased almost the same amout at BLT. My reason was of the GV, but after looking at the points charts, forget it!!!! Maybe some day we will get "The Cabins at the Wilderness Lodge"!!!!! Kind of like the beach cottages at Vero!!

We love OKW! For anything other than a studio we stay there to conserve points and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere. If I had 600 points per year instead of 200, I might try BLT or AKV Savannah Views for the times we need a 2 or 3BR unit. It is tempting, but we won't be purchasing now. But a MKV sure sounds fabulous!
