I found reasonable flights!

Originally we were just going to drive from NY for our August trip. But thanks to the amazing Travelzoo I was able to find relatively affordable flights on Delta for the week of 8/24. With perfect times! 9 am flight out, 10 am flight back. This never happens to me! Hooray!

So yes, I wanted to share my good news. But I also wanted to give anyone trying to fly a heads-up -- some flights are actually reasonable! Good luck if you're looking.

We were able to get a really good deal a couple weeks ago for the end of April. Direct flights on southwest from Raleigh to mco for just under $200 ppn. And since it's southwest that includes bags! I remember paying just over $200 to fly from rochester, ny to mco back in the early 90s, and that wasn't direct!

We were able to get flights out of NY just a few days after you on 8/28. Non-stop flights on Jet Blue, round trip for 260. I was very excited because I had budgeted about 320 pp for the four of us. Because I saved money on the airfare, we added an extra day!!!

Must be something in the air prices for us for the week after T-day dropped $85 pp! We booked last night and the savings got us an extra day. Let the planning began!

We got some great prices too! Just booked today for $250 pp in the last week of October. That's cheaper than we paid the last time we flew - 5 years ago!

That's great!! I signed up on the website Airfarewatchdog.com. It helped, but only AFTER we booked our flights on Jetblue! Oh well

You should look again! Check Delta, and I see JetBlue must have come down. I just bought mine yesterday, (hence the celebratory exclamation above). Good luck!

I hope we can find a good rate... so far 479 is the cheapest i can find for us.
if i could get it to 300 id be dancing the jig on the tarmac
