I found a ten-dollar bill. What should I do with it?

Someone posted a sign by our elevators that she had found money, and if the rightful owner could identify the amount of money, she would refund it. I talked to her about it a couple weeks later and was encouraged to hear no one came forth but the rightful owner. Made me feel good about people in general, or at least the people where I work. It was a considerable amount of money though, about 10 times what you found. $10, I would just go spend somewhere and figure this was one of the good breaks we get in life.

You could post a note that says found $ - owner identify with your phone number.

If you don't actually need it because you yourself are short, I'd vote for charity. DS found a 20 dollar bill a year or so ago and he gave it to charity. Don't know how it made him "feel" but he explained it to me as what he knew to be the right thing to do. He was 14. I was proud of him.

If I found $10 I'd put it in my WDW vacation fund! But that wasn't an option...

$10 will not make or break anyone. Take and don't give it a second thought.

A good rationization: You've probably lost $10 before, so maybe it took this long to find you!

That is what I would have done (and have in the past).
If you pick it up, I think it is important to at least try to find the owner, and if you can't it is yours. To be honest, I probably would have just left it where it was. JMHO
