Some shoe advice please

I have a nice place I'm going on Friday. I picked up 2 dresses, one is black V neck, and some ruffles. Sexy, but possibly MATRONLY . Other is a combo of red/blue same v neck, a tad shorter.

Now. I am not buying red or blue shoes EVER, so today I purchased some nice black heels that zip, say just a tad over the ankle. Now, the one dress I am leaning towards is the red/blue combo, BUT do you think these ankle shoes would go? Or high to the knee black boots.????
