I found a hidden Mickey

Thank you. I am happy she is no longer suffering, it is most definitely the ones left behind.

On a happier note. My friend's band was awesome. They did a ton of covers, the bar was jammed. I was thankful DH came and drove home :rolleyes1.
It took me until Tuesday to fully recover, but it was a wonderful time, and seeing so many people from the good old days was great..

I thought I had answered you, sorry! :flower3:

I'm glad your aunt is at peace, it's true it is the ones left behind you suffer the most.

Glad you were able to get out and have some fun! We are going to see a Christmas play this Saturday at a regional theater - should be interesting! It's my birthday weekend so we will probably eat out and go for a beer or two, hope the weather stays dry.

:)

Thank You!!

I hope your Birthday was awesome...!! How was the shopping.:rolleyes1

It was just what I needed - a few hours to browse around without DH!!! I bought myself a pair of black jeans, a tan sweater set, new socks and new pj's!

My sister and I went out for lunch - calzones, soup and salad - it was a great day. Came home and all my nieces and nephews started calling me!! :):)

OK, I'm probably returning everything but the socks, LOL! Don't like how the clothes look on me; don't really need more PJ's........

HHeeeellllloooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Calling Mommasita!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Come out, come out wherever you are!!!! :confused3

:banana::banana: I'm here. Sorry.

Just been a little quiet. Finished wrapping last night (THANK GOD) and on to baking tomorrow.

What's new with you?

Happy Holidays everyone. :grouphug:

glad you are ok! To be honest I can't wait til Monday! Tomorrow we drive to Connecticut to spend Christmas eve with my bil and sil and nephews, then Sunday we drive upstate to my sister's house for Christmas. A lot of driving and stress - can't wait to be alone next weekend for New Year's Eve! ;)

Oh, I can't wait for it ALL to be over. I feel like a party pooper. I guess I am :rotfl2:. Just the relative visiting and such. I am ALWAYS happy when it is all said and done..

Safe travels:hug: Here we are all just a few miles apart. Sometimes good, OFTEN NOT :rolleyes1

It was the usual "festivus" at my sister's house. I swear I am staying home alone next year, I still have tightness in my chest just thinking about it! :sad2:

I am looking forward to this weekend, just DH and me going to an early dinner for New Year's Eve and then going home to relax :woohoo:

I'm sorry to hear that. I have the same with SIL, so understand 100%. She was actually nice, which means she is having fun discussing everything I said. Oh well, one more on Sat to go. We are all going to a local pub place, we know the owners and is very close by. I hate driving long on such an evening.

I hope you have a fabulous, quiet NYE..:cloud9:

Thanks, you too! :) We only driving 2 miles to the restaurant, I also hate being on the roads that night.

I was having a bleh day, when I got a reality check.

My son's friends parents were killed in this http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/montreal/story/2011/12/28/montreal-overpass-crash.html?cmp=rss

We had quite the storm after raining (which turned to ice overnight) and this family is in my thoughts and prayers tonight. They left 3 children.

It certainly woke me up. I was feeling for my best friends hubby who found his dad (93) Saturday morning. Tomorrow is the funeral for that, but I guess at 93 it is expected...This however is just tragic, tragic, tragic. That will be the 3 deaths in a month, and I'm done...:sad2:

:scared1: omg, like the car accident wasn't enough, they got hit by a train too? That is just so horrible :sad1: I'm so sorry for you and all your friends - I can't imagine that couple's children coping with something like this. You are right, what a reality check.

:) Everyone, or anyone :rotfl2: How are you doing?

It's been a while so wanted to say HI.

SUPERglad holidays are over. Kids having 2 weeks off puts us (ME) into NO schedule mode, and we have been a bunch of vampires.:rolleyes1...Having the routine back will help a lot. Shopped a lot, slept at wacko hours, but we did have a good time.

I had a 2 1/2 hour MRI of brain and spine last Friday and am praying to whomever that I can get the OK to return to work after that, and that nothing more than what we know is in that report. I see the Dr about the 1st week in February, I'll have to double check the date.

That's about it with me.

I did attend the funeral on the above post, and it was heart wrenching. THe line up was around 2 blocks...The support for the children is amazing, and they most certainly need it..:littleangel:

Praying you get good results

We went to see Sister Act last week on Broadway. It was a lot of fun!

Today has been non-stop cleaning and cooking, taking a break while the meatballs are in the oven!

It's a rainy miserable day here, not helping my mood at all :guilty:

Oh well, the sun will come out tomorrow!!

HI, how are you feeling? Any better?

We got BOMBED with snow and 2 ice storms in a bloody week. I also have been suffering..

I seem to be full of bad news lately...

My daughter started her new high school this year and made a new good friend. She was excited to have her over and did so during the Xmas break. I went to high school with the girl's Mom. We chatted a little when she dropped her off, and reconnected.

Fast forward. DD texts me at lunch that last night her friend lost her Mother.:sad2:...I don't know to what yet, but she died yesterday...This girl stood out to me SO much with her personality the day she was here. Happy happy girl. So full of joy, and I just can't get that picture out of my mind.

ETA: It seems like a suicide.
They had grief counselors at school, and my daughter said the entire class including the teacher were crying, and extremely upset.

I just can't come to terms with this. That this lady of 42 is gone. She sat in my kitchen about 10 days ago, and now this child of 12 lost her...

How did I miss this? I'm so sorry! How are you feeling, did you go back to work? Hope everything is OK!
