Did you have "Win Rare" in the title of your room? I have huuuge problems with "Falling Chairs, win rare" when the prize is not, indeed, rare. That is disenfranchisement (buthered that word: hey, it's late) and near a scam.

I love to play the games for the thrill of playing, but I don't want to be gotten if the said prize was supposed to be rare, and indeed was not.

No I said win a prize or they would have not asked I throw in rare or 6 items sometimes when the person does not think it rofl they get happy even when I put in a crate (bad prize I know) they accepted and said thanks great game then they remarked I only play games if there is a rare prize.

yeah, "only play games for rare prize" does indeed sound rude.

I do find the asking of what the said prize is, not rude.

That is what i meant to post in this thread.

I try to keep my prizes over 500 credits or 6 dead men chest because people like to use them to build but her not playing because of the prize was rude

omg "cant play" you can play

dont you hate missleading room names like free stuff then win your in there they try to make you play a game

and dont you realy hate things like i have away free pirate stuff iyou pick put some pirate ships in the room and the disripshon says not boat!
and ppl say i will take the boat or say sparrow suit or i will take all the dead man chest

heres a good and sparrow suit or boat! no one ever says thanks any more very few ppl do win they do i give them even more

There are a lot of rude people in rooms like that. I was playing cute or boot (yes lame I KNOW but hey I was bored) and the host was giving away prizes for the winners (I won a round and I got the new pin, I already have it but hey that's fine!). Anyway there was this one guest that kept saying "Hurry up beach!" and "You room is lame beach!" and even continued to say "i hope you dead"..!! She got booted, and hopefully reported.
Sometimes the rude things people say baffle me. Today I was dancing on the platform in the music room. Some dude says "Omg" and I say "What?" then he says "Your face beach"...I was going to report the loser but I was to lazy :rotfl:

I cracked up when reading your post. Oh, how VMK has to reap what they sow when it comes to the name Blizzard Beach.

Let's go over the violations here...

1. Dictionary Dancing
2. Swearing using Dictionary Dancing
3. Swearing while insulting another's creative ability
4. Wishing another person dead
5. Lame comebacks (worst offense of them all)

I forgot how mauch patience it takes to run a game.

I just opened my new game tonight, and everyone wanted to stay or enter. I mean you have to know that when there are 4 chairs with 4 players in them you have to wait. Instead OWNER CAN I COME IN? Ughh. That was very rude that that player told you they only play for rare.

Same here and they see the chairs are filled I had a line of people and 2 chairs for the game the person got in then as soon as thy got sat I started to say spi generator then the guest started to spin it like 3 times or so

I hate being in a game while a newcomer keeps yelling at the Owner to let them in.

Someone actually bought his way into a Falling Chairs game. :sad2:

It takes really strong owners to not give into that temptation. Always be fair to the players, regardless of whether or not you get a nice extra in your pocket.

I would never let someone in if they attempted to pay me. I find that ridiculous. Thats like bribing, and I don't like bribing.

Lets reconsider, if it was inferno maybe. :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:

I still play games just to play, even if the prize is something small.
I was playing a game yesterday and since the owner was out of the prize I was supposed to get (organ), I asked if I could have a few crates instead. She gave me 3. you can never have enough crates. :goodvibes

You know, after spending the last few days popping in and out of trade rooms, I really believe that some people have no clue what "rare" and "beta" mean. I don't think that anything that has recently been retired, like the 4th of July hat, is rare. But some people do. A boy told me he had "rare Narnia." Someone even posted here on the Dis that she has wanted inferno since "before beta." Uh, since before the game was played? So I am not sure that quest creators are deliberately misleading folks. I think most just don't know any better.

Hi there,

I don't want to take over your thread, but please keep in mind the age of some of the players.

My five year old can read and type very well, but he doesn't understand some of the concepts like beta and rare. He copies what the other players say not always knowing the meaning. He can be overly generous if someone is nice to him, but can be very rude unknowingly also. If a player tries to trade with him saying Narnia or High school musical is rare- he believes them. He then goes on to tell someone else the same thing. He is too innocent, I guess.

There are players from 4-64 in this game, and we are all setting examples for them when we play.

LOL, before "beta" I thought of "inferno" as the bad place mentioned in the Bible.
:lmao:

Yes, welcome to the wonderful agony of hosting a game. While I've found
most people enjoy playing, I've gotten a few annoyances:
  • Players in line trying to make friend and trade requests with the person running the game
  • Telling the room owner, "My game has better prizes. I give magic pins."
  • Shouting out distractions that confuse players in the game, rather than game host instructions
  • Not leaving the game room after losing the game.
  • Asking to pay the room owner to stay.
  • Asking to stay in the room to watch, rather than making room for another guest to enter
  • Complaining that the game is unfair if they lose.

These are things I dealt with when running my first game room. I've been
lenient for the most part, but the Boot button became my friend when
people were really out of hand.

On the flip side, I had people (kids as well as adults) thank me quite nicely
for the game, and I really feel good that my efforts were appreciated.

Hang in there, and use the boot button if people are rude. You don't have
to be nice when others are being rude to you.

Well said :thumbsup2
Those things annoy me as well while I am in line in a game room that gives prizes. It just bugs me when people have no respect. Of course I never talk back to them because I don't like to get in the middles of things, but I always have a smile on my face when I know the host just booted them :rolleyes1
