My dh, during our last trip to WDW, bought me this beautiful french Cinderella poster which says "Le Bal Royal Cinderella" and "Valse de Minuit". princess: He bought it b/c I was a french major in college and he always calls me his Cinderella b/c he thinks I had the same home life as a child as she did (believe me, it really wasn't THAT bad). Well, it's finally been framed beautifully and just got put up in my office! I love it!

The funny thing is, everyone loved it except one of the secretaries, who said, literally, "That's weird, I mean, that's nice." :confused3

So my question to you is, what disney do you have in your office and what, if anything, have people said about it? I would love to :listen: from you!

I buy a picture frame each trip to WDW. I put a picture in from that trip. I not only have a wonderful collection of Disney frames, I have pictures of my kids growing up over the years. My co-workers would wait for me to return from a trip to see what frame I picked out next. I no longer keep them in my office at work though. Since I only work about 20 hrs./week I've decided to take them all home. I'm not here enough to truly enjoy them.

I also have a pen/pencil holder, stickie holder, business card holder, bookends, clock, and other "desk-related" items in my home office. In fact, I'd love to add the desk that's been in the Disney catalog!!!

P.S. Can I ask where you DH found that poster you have? My daughter is a french major and Cinderella is a favorite of her's. I'd like to see if I could possibly find it and give it to her as a surprise.

I have some postcards tacked up, a few mugs, a WDW calander, lots and lots of books ;) and a few cds.

Most people just think i'm weird. I'm one of only two people in my whole dept. who does not have my area plastered with I HATE BUSH stuff.

Oh now that's professional :(

The only Disney item I have in my office is a pic of DH and me on DCL, in Palo.

He got the poster in DTD in the shop which has all of the artwork and photo/scrapbook material - I'm sorry I can't remember the name of it.

I have several pens, a calendar, a coffee mug, and 2 Disney photo frames. My co-workers never say anythng, they kind of expect it :)

It is SO funny that you posted about this!!!! A few months ago, everyone was painting their offices at work and bringing in things from home. When I first started working at this office 11 years ago, I had my office FULL of framed Disney posters. They were the ones you can get a Walmart for $5 but it looked nice. People thought I was NUTS!! (I work for a child welfare agency for goodness sake--you'd think people would be a little more understanding!!)

Fast forward to a few months ago. I was cleaning out one of the (FILTHY) closets and found FOUR ROLLS of Mickey Mouse Border--just sitting there going to waste!! Well, that was IT!! I got clearance from the boss to take it as my own, painted my walls and put up my border. I brought in a corner hutch from home and put snowglobes on it--I have PP, MM, and Snow White on the three different shelves. I then put framed pictures from our trips on each side of the globes. I brought in a bookshelf and put pictures, stuffed Pooh friends, and other Disney stuff on that. I hung up ALL my posters again (9 in all) and I had a BEAUTIFUL picture of Cinderella's Castle at twighlight framed and hung it up right behind my desk. One of my fellow workers gave me an old Mickey clock that she had in a closet at home and I have a MM desk set on my desk. I play Disney music in my CD player on most days and have plenty of Disney wallpaper for my computer!!!

I LOVE my office--it makes me want to do my work. It's my "happy place". People at work have come to expect this from me, so I'm not weird to them anymore. My Disney fever did inch across the hall though and now I'm bringing one of my friends from work and her two children with me this time to WDW!!! It's going to be AWESOME!!!!

All I can say Josh's mom is WOW! I would love to see pix of it - now do the children come to your office? It must make them feel a lot more comfortable. I collect globes too (I have 13) but I keep them at home.

Sometimes we end up taking protective custody of children (I don't--that's not part of my job. But other people in my office do). Sometimes the children are scared, crying, bewildered. I mean, they've just been taken out of the custody of their parents--it must be AWFUL for them.

I always keep snacks in my office, I have a rocking chair and I keep a drawer full of those McDonald's Happy Meal Toys. If a child needs a place to "hang out", my office is always open to give them a place to sit. They seem to really like it and respond to the colors. It also seems to take their minds off of things because usually they have seen at least ONE Disney movie and we can talk about that.

I'll take some pics and "try" to post them. I haven't really had much luck with that, but I'll try!!!

I don't have any walls by me , as we all sit together on top of one another.
Private phone conversations are out of the question!
I have some Disney pens, castle paper weight, Buzz & Woody dolls on my desk.

Now if I had an office, I can think of so many Disney items :scratchin
