I finally found a way to get DH excited about Disney! - ADDED LINK TO TRIP REPORT

Nah....you might just lose your lunch. :lmao:

:lmao:

Can you believe we're in double digits?!? I'm getting so excited for this trip! :yay:

Me too! BTW, how is the running going? Sat. I finished the 5k program (ending with running 35 minutes straight) and decided to continue on to the 10k... get this - today my work out was this... 5 minute warm up. 20 minute run (and before this was done I had ran 2 miles) then a 3 minute walk followed by another 20 min. of running and finally a 5 minute cool down. :faint: 4.28 miles total in 53 minutes. Just a little more than 12 and a half minutes per mile....and almost 5 miles...so half way there. I was about to die at the end though... my side hurt so bad and I was breathing a bit heavier than would allow for a comfortable conversation... Could I talk.. yes. But more like.... I... haaad... tooo realy...think...a... bout...what...I...wan...ted....to....say. ;)
Wellllll.....since you said please.....yes, I will show it to y'all when it's done. :goodvibes

:cool1:

Goodness....you really need a day off! I really liked the movie. And Merida is so cute & she has so much spunk. She's definitely not perfect but I really like her.

Yes, a day off would be good... but even though I have been working every day...it still only amounts to just under 40 hours a week...

I like not perfect princesses!!! I just know that Merida is going to be so much fun!

Oh yes, lots of time to plan! I love planning! Ed thinks I'm crazy that I'm already thinking about our 2014 trip.

I have two trips in the works! Chad makes fun of me most of the time but the other night he said, "Let's talk Disney," so we talked about our future trips!

So true! His parents are so sweet! I definitely see that being a big argument with them if she wants to move. :sad2:

As much as they fight I don't think they are going to last long anyways.:sad1:

OMG! That episode was hilarious!

She is awful! I always felt so sorry for Donn. He always looked so defeated.

I know! I can't believe he put up with Vicki that long. I think it was because he genuinely loves her kids.

I cry at that one, too!

Pixar was on a run of making me cry. Wall-E, Up, Toy Story 3, and Brave. (I didn't cry at Cars 2:lmao:) And I was weeping during Tangled. The lantern scene gets me every time!

I'm so ready for it! I have a Disney vacation countdown app on my phone & every morning Reid asks me to show him how many days we have left until Disney. Even Ed is ready to be back at Disney. He's been working so hard, he really needs a vacation!

That is so adorable! That's how Chad is, he enjoys being away from work! I have totally converted him. He used to make fun of all my Disney stuff but now he's hooked!

I hope it all comes together well. I ordered Reid's Cpt. Hook costume today from the Disney Store. :woohoo:

Cute! I'm sure he will be adorable!

I totally missed your 'unofficial' post the other day! So glad to hear you liked Brave! I really liked it too. It was awesome!

HOORAY FOR DOUBLE DIGITS!!! Wow, so exciting! Seriously though, it's going to go FAST. I feel like I was just saying 'oh hey everyone, double digits,' and now I'm already to 32! It's all so crazy, BUT SO EXCITING!!! :yay:

Yay for double digits!

I'd love to see the costume when it's finished! That's really nice of your friend to make it for you.

I can't wait to take Maddie to see Brave. Maybe when I finish staining the fence... Which I'm putting off while I Dis. :lmao: We're never gonna get there at this rate!

Congrats on finishing the C25K! :cheer2:

I'm making my way through the program...slowly but surely. Tonight, I will do the last night of week 5. I'm definitely not as fast as you. :sad2: My run paces are usually more in the 14min/mile range. Hopefully, one day I can get faster. In a few nights, I'll have my first "big" run - 20 mins straight. I'm scared! :scared1:

I totally missed your 'unofficial' post the other day! So glad to hear you liked Brave! I really liked it too. It was awesome!

No worries! Seems like everyone I talk to really liked it. I don't understand all the negative reviews. :confused3

:yay:

It is so exciting! :woohoo: I hope it goes fast. I started off not being terribly excited about this trip but now I'm getting to the so-excited-I'm-going-to-bust-at-the-seams point! Your trip will really be here before you know it! :yay:

Yay for double digits!

I'm getting so excited!! :dance3:

I'd love to see the costume when it's finished! That's really nice of your friend to make it for you.

I will definitely let y'all see it! It really is sweet of her - she's a great friend.

I can't wait to take Maddie to see Brave. Maybe when I finish staining the fence... Which I'm putting off while I Dis. :lmao: We're never gonna get there at this rate!

I can't wait to hear what Maddie thinks of Merida!

Hmmm....stain a fence or get on the DIS? Yeah, I know which one I'd choose. That is hard tedious work! We need to stain our fence & Reid's swingset. :sad2:

I have two trips in the works! Chad makes fun of me most of the time but the other night he said, "Let's talk Disney," so we talked about our future trips!

I love having trips in the works! Ed is starting to roll his eyes less & less every time I mention Disney.

As much as they fight I don't think they are going to last long anyways.

I agree....but it really makes me sad for her. :sad2:

Pixar was on a run of making me cry. Wall-E, Up, Toy Story 3, and Brave. (I didn't cry at Cars 2) And I was weeping during Tangled. The lantern scene gets me every time!

Yeah, I didn't cry in Cars or Cars 2. That scene in Tangled is a tear jerker.

That is so adorable! That's how Chad is, he enjoys being away from work! I have totally converted him. He used to make fun of all my Disney stuff but now he's hooked!

I'm slowly getting Ed hooked. Right now, I think he'd take a vacation anywhere though. :rotfl:

Cute! I'm sure he will be adorable!
Thanks! Our Disney Store order got shipped out today. So excited to get it! :woohoo::woohoo:

I last left off with our plans to spend the majority of Monday, Oct. 1st at Islands of Adventure. We will leave there between 2pm & 4pm. My plans are for us to head back to OKW & relax for a bit before we get ready for our night.

So, what are the big plans for that night? Well, if you'll remember, I was very much on the fence about whether or not we should go to Epcot for dinner this night. Being that it is the 30th anniversary of Epcot, I was a bit scared of what the crowds would be like. After much contemplation, I ended up booking a 5pm ADR here:

Okay, so you can't really see the sign too well in that picture but it's the best I could find on the internet. Anyway, just in case you don't know what that restaurant is.....it's Chefs de France.

I was all happy with my ADR. So excited to finally give this place I try. I had dreams of French Onion Soup. :cloud9: Really, I was happy about it. I promise. But, something happened......

I read an update on someone's TR that made me go, "Hmmmm......could I do that? Would it really work?" And so, I went back to the drawing board, feverishly trying to figure out how I could work this ingenious idea into our trip. And that's when it hit me.......scratch Chefs de France & Epcot on the Monday night. Now, truly, I was sad to let this ADR go. But, I liked what I switched it with better. So, where are we going for dinner instead? Oh, this little place:

images

Yes, we will be trying our 1st signature restaurant on this trip! :woohoo: I was able to score a 730pm ADR. Which, of course, I ended up changing to 715pm when it came available. Because you know....those 15 minutes earlier are important!

Now, I'm sure some of you thinking, "Are you nuts?!? You're bringing a 4 year old to Citricos?" :scared1: Have no fear, dear friends. My child will not be joining us at Citricos. And no, I'm not leaving him at OKW by himself either. I'm a little bit better of a mother than that. :rotfl: So, where will Mr. Reid spend his evening & enjoy dinner? Here:

images

Yes, he will be going to the Neverland Club at the Poly. I have heard spectacular things on the DIS about this kids club. And I can't wait for him to try it out. I think he's going to have a lot of fun! I have to admit that I'm really looking forward to having 1 adults-only meal on our vacation. I never thought I would do such a thing on a family Disney vacation. But, I think everyone will enjoy their night.

Oh - and I have to give a shout out to Tina (tinacaplan) for imbedding this idea in my head. It was her trip report that really made me want to do this.

Reid's reservation @ the Neverland Club is from 630pm to 10pm. So, we'll drop him off there & then head to the Grand Floridian. It'll definitely be nice to have our own car on this night. Should make transportation between all the resorts rather easy.

After we finish our dinner, we will head back to the Poly to collect our child. We'll drive back to OKW & get ready for bed & call it a night.

Will we ever get to a full Disney park day? :confused3 Stay tuned! popcorn::

That sounds awesome! I'm so excited for you that you'll have a date night! To be honest, Reid will probably be much happier at the Neverland Club than at a fancy dinner. That's the perfect compromise between and adults trip and a family trip! You and Ed will have earned a nice evening alone after your races as well.

I changed one breakfast ressie 3 times. Each time the place stayed the same, I just moved it by 15 minute increments. :lmao: You are so not alone.

Thanks! I'm really excited about our date night. We never did nice dinners at Disney even before we had Reid. I really don't know why. :confused3 Reid is very excited to go to the Neverland Club.

I am so glad I'm not the only one who does this! Ed laughs at me all the time about changing ADRs by just a few minutes. :sad2: I just want the perfect ADR!

:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2: You can do it. I remember thinking NO WAY 20 minutes?!? and then it happened...and just like that I was able to run 35 minutes straight. (that has been my top) I still am a bit shocked I am doing it. Do you feel that way? Kinda like.. I ran how far? No... couldnt be me. This is what I am struggling with.

Tomorrow is another 20min/3min/20min I hope to conquer my greatest obstacle tomorrow (other than my own self doubt)...my dreaded side ache.

I missed the update. I think that your new ADR sounds amazing. Neverland club will be a good choice for your ds... and you will all have a WONDERFUL time. :goodvibes

Citricos is Awesome! You will have a wonderful meal there, and I think that Reid will be having just as much fun at the Neverland club!

When I was a kid my parents used to drop me and my brothers at the Mickey Mouse Club (back in the Contemporary) while they went to the top of the world lounge. I used to cry when they came to pick me up, it was BY FAR my favorite night of the trip (and I'm sure theirs too!). Its a win-win! I'm sure Reid will have just as much fun there as I used to do as a kid. I can't wait until Everett and New Baby are old enough to spend a night at the kids club! ;)

So, now that you have that 7:15 ADR, are you stalking for a 7:00 to open up? :confused3 :lmao:

I've never heard anything bad about the Neverland Club, so I'm sure Reid will have a blast there. I think it would have been hard to pass on a dinner ADR for EPCOT's 30th, but it looks like your new plan should be a nice evening for everyone.

Your Citricos plan sounds great. I am eating there in October too (with Tina, as a matter fo fact) and I am really looking forward to it. I had to fight the urge not to book it in June. I am waiting patiently for October and the girl's trip.

The Neverland club sounds pretty cool!

Okay, that's AWESOME! How nice to get some 'grown up' time at such a nice place. I bet Reid will have a wonderful time at the kid's club!! I'm sure Epcot will be CRAZY too!

Thanks! I am really scared about that 20 minute run. :scared1: But, I know if I need to I can just slow down some more. Although, if I slow down too much more I won't be running at all. :lmao: I am shocked that I've even made it through the first 5 weeks of this program. Even though running for 9mins straight may not sound like a lot to some people, that is major for me. I just find that I'm letting my pace discourage me. Like last night, I finished week 5. I really felt like I went a little faster than what I had been running. But, the app told me that my run pace was about the same as it has been. :confused3 Gets me frustrated that I can't run like the wind. :rotfl:

I know you can conquer your run! I sometimes get a side ache too. I read somewhere that if you get a side ache, to exhale when you're putting down the opposite foot. So, if you're ache is on your right side, then exhale when you're putting down your left foot. Does that make sense? I've done it a few times & it seemed to help.

I missed the update. I think that your new ADR sounds amazing. Neverland club will be a good choice for your ds... and you will all have a WONDERFUL time. :goodvibes

Thank you! Reid is a very outgoing child so I think he'll have a lot fun getting to play with some other kids for one night.

Citricos is Awesome! You will have a wonderful meal there, and I think that Reid will be having just as much fun at the Neverland club!

Glad to hear of another person who loves Citricos. I'm really excited to give it a try. I think Reid will have a lot of fun at the Neverland Club!

Too funny! I'm sure Reid won't want to leave the Neverland Club either.

That will be so nice when y'all can put both of the kids in a club for the night. I know Ed & I truly enjoyed a little bit of quiet time when Reid would go to the kids club on the Dream last May. Even it's just an hour, that can help so much.

So, now that you have that 7:15 ADR, are you stalking for a 7:00 to open up? :confused3 :lmao:

Well, of course! :rotfl2:

It really was a hard decision. But, I was still a bit worried about the crowds at Epcot. And having a quiet dinner is not something we experience very often so that thought really won me over! And I think Reid would rather be in the club playing with kids & having a simple dinner over eating at Chefs de France.

Your Citricos plan sounds great. I am eating there in October too (with Tina, as a matter fo fact) and I am really looking forward to it. I had to fight the urge not to book it in June. I am waiting patiently for October and the girl's trip.

Thanks! That is going to be so fun to have dinner there on y'alls girls trip. I'm really excited to try it out. :goodvibes

The Neverland club sounds pretty cool!

I've heard so many great things about it & all of the pictures look really fun! And since Reid loves the movie Peter Pan, I'm sure he will love the environment of the club.

Okay, that's AWESOME! How nice to get some 'grown up' time at such a nice place. I bet Reid will have a wonderful time at the kid's club!! I'm sure Epcot will be CRAZY too!

Thanks! I'm really excited for our grown up dinner. We probably won't know what to do with ourselves. :lmao: And I'm Reid will be having a blast! I was still concerned with the Epcot crowds so that helped change my mind. We can always eat at Chefs next time! :thumbsup2

All caught up again!:goodvibes I must say I love your plan of Neverland Club and dinner with your DH!!
My DD's loved the club last September, and when my littlest had a potty accident (and after her big sis cleaned her up) the club leaders gave her a completely new outfit!
I kept insisting when we picked her up...those are not her clothes I left for her!! They kept answering with "those are her clothes!!" This many times until I finally got it, they were gifting her the new outfit. So nice. I bet Reid will love it there.:thumbsup2

Thanks! I'm excited to have a nice dinner with Ed at Disney. We don't do that too often at home & I think being in Disney will make it even more special. :goodvibes

How sweet of them to do that for your DD! I am really happy to hear from another person who was happy with the Neverland Club. I hope Reid really enjoys his night there.

Thanks for the advice on the side ache... I actually read an article that talked about it... and I tried that technique and it worked well. I figure I need a list of tricks though...so definitely going to hold on to yours for when the one I used today doesn't work.
:thumbsup2

I hear ya on feeling like you are running slow. I know I tried to speed up today and ended up only ever so slightly faster. I am running though... so I guess regardless of pace, the key is I am doing it!

We went to see Brave last week too.:thumbsup2 Of course I started crying at the end:sad1: and but I was able to hide it from Caitllin. She is such a tattletale and remembers everything! She would probably tell everyone that "Mommy cried during Brave!"

I thought the movie was cute, just not what I was expecting. I do like that Merida does not get rescued by a prince and that Caitlin wants to take archery lessons. I guess she is a pretty good role model.

Your new dinner plans sound great:thumbsup2 I loved adult time on the Dream even if it was just an hour. I'll have to try the kids club at WDW on day.
