I finally BOOKED our trip

After stressing over it for months and getting everything final, I booked our Family's first Disney trip!!

We had flexible dates and were using a travel agent. I decided to call Disney myself and ask if that was the best I could get
(3 adults, 2 kids (5,5) staying @ Port Orleans Riverside with a 5 day hopper and meal plan $3094.65).
She changed the dates to November 30-December 4 and gave us the quote of $2789.56. She held the reservation and I called the travel agent this morning. She spent 20 minutes on the phone with Disney only to email me back and told me to book it. They couldn't quite figure out what the lady did, but she definitely made a mistake. Plus there was no PIN associated with my account and if I got one to call back.

So did I do ok?? I know it's not free dining or 40% off, but it was better than nothing right??

This is exactly why I dont see the need for travel agents. All they are able to do is call Disney just like you. They're middlemen! You did good as far as I can tell, and you can always try to apply a PIN or a general public discount (room-rate, free dining, etc) to your existing reservation if it's available. Have a great time!

I concur, you can keep an eye on the WDW website, and apply any discounts that come out later! Good job!
