:cloud9: I bit the bullet, so to speak... been watching air prices (Detroit to Orlando) and they just keep going up, up, up.... Spirit was $1800 for two tickets... imagine that... NWA was hovering around $800 for the two of us but suddenly were sold out for our dates except for First Class!! Those tickets went to $1600!! We are going to WDW the week of Easter and then cruising on Magic for the week after Easter! Air prices have been horribly high... and not trusting what is going to happen with Northwest and jet fuel! :confused3

Needless to say, I watched Spirit prices drop from $1800 to $500 on Thursday(should have jumped then...) and creep back to $700 on Friday... I booked at $700. They have the right days, flight times, etc... to meet our needs. Whew... that's done and over with... and now it's REAL!!!!

 :Pinkbounc :cheer2: :bounce: :flower: Dream vacation, here we come!!!

Good job, Kimmielee! Nice to have the plane tickets bought, isn't it? :)

Hi from a fellow WDW fan just down the road.

Hi there Travelbug :wave2: Wasn't today GORGEOUS??? :sunny: Did your team win :cheer2: or lose? :rolleyes1

DS (6) had a soccer game, so I missed a lot of the game... what a nail biter!! I'm a CMU alum... so I just like to see a good game between UofM and MSU....

Enjoy tomorrow... it's supposed to be just as beautiful! :flower:

You're right - today was spectacular!! I could take this weather every day of the year and not get tired of it. :sunny:

GREAT football game today! I love watching the big showdown every year, but I force myself not to obsess about who wins in the end. What a cliffhanger it was today!

By the way, I'm traveling down to WDW for Easter too, but haven't booked airfare either. Waiting to finalize who exactly is coming along before buying plane tickets. I love to fly out of Flint if I can get a reasonable price from there. Did you happen to check out flights out of there, or did you stick with Metro? Airfare has been crazy in recent weeks!! :badpc:

I've been watching both Flint and Metro. I love Flint too... so much less hassle! NWA out of Flint was slightly higher than Metro and AirTran is now flying direct with one non-stop each day as well. The flight times weren't the best and they were about $675 vs. the $700 with Spirit and MUCH better flight choices!

I've watched NWA go up and down from $650 to $800 when Spirit was $1800. Then, one day last week, Spirit dropped to $500 (why didn't I jump???) so I double checked NW and metro flights were all booked for our return flight (29th or 30th would work for us - we are going from 4/18 - 4/29) except for FIRST class so the NW tickets were suddenly $1600!! Flint still had flights but were not the best times and about $150 more than Spirit.

I was also a bit nervous regarding NW and their troubles. I read somewhere that if you buy tickets more than 60 days out and they do go down... the money isn't refundable! :earseek:

I'm just glad the "wait" is over... I've been glued to the prices and stressing over the cost! Everything is so much more at Easter time! We originally were cruising 4/15 - 4/22. I changed it to 4/22 - 4/29 and saved $2000!!

Now we can do 4 nights at POFQ, the 7 day cruise and have a town car take us to each location... for less than the original price of the Easter cruise. Isn't that nuts?

When are you going and where are you staying? My DS (6) is being more patient than I am!! I told him he has a birthday and Christmas to get through first....

Have a GREAT day... I'm off to clean... Take care, Kim.

Glad to hear things worked out for you.

My son and I are also going down for Easter (April 12-22 or 23). I booked the flight down last month. At that time the price was only $79.00 each. Now it's $189.00 each. :confused3

I haven't booked our return flight yet. The return flights have been from $179.00pp(awful flight times) up to $299.00. :earseek:

I hope when Southwest release their prices Jetblue and Song will lower their prices a bit.
