I finally ate a Krispy Kreme

For the past year or so, all I have been hearing is Krispy Kreme this and Krispy Kreme that...............

I've heard that people stand in line for hours waiting to get a Krispy Kreme donut. I have been wanting to try one, but I understand they are found mostly in the south and out west.

I heard they had a shop in New York.........spent the day in NY a few weeks ago and looked around..............can't find it.

I figured I would go through life without tasting a Krispy Kreme donut.

A week ago I am at work and an announcment came over our intranet stating that Krispy Kreme is coming to Connecticut and they are using our company as a promotional outlet. The line reads: "Krispy Kreme donuts are coming tomorrow, free donuts for everyone.

Welcome to the CLUB! Nothing ruins a low-carb diet like a Krispy Creme! (I'm just glad there's not one real near-by!)

My DH just found a KK store thatis opening near by...he went to talk business stuff with the owner the other day and the guy gave him a box...granted they weren't hot off the presses but hummmm they were good...haven't had one in years....My kids loved them too...

Can't wait until they open on Nov 7 5am.....yippee family road trip....

I have to say this donut absolutely melts in your mouth. It is not heavy like most donuts. It also seemed sweeter than other types of donuts.

However, it also makes in easy to eat more of them. Whoever, thought of that was smart.

It was very good, but I don't know if I would wait an hour in line for one.
