I feel like staying home. Anyone else feel the same?

Hi all! Since 9/11, I've been in a funk that I can't get out off. I gained 20 pounds because of it. We had a great trip in April 2002, just seven months after 9/11, but it wasn't as fabulous as the year earlier. Our cat died three days before last year's trip and dh's aunt died too. Although most of the time I am very happy ~ since the war and SARS scare in Toronto, I've been feeling down and just want to stay home. I don't even feel like going to WDW! I stopped planning next years trip. Anyone else get into funky moods? THANKS! S

{{{{Hugs}}}} for you, Sandra. It sounds like you have had a rough time over the last year.

With all that is going on in the world right now, I can certainly understand how you feel. Although, the SARS thing is scary, I really haven't decided to avoid traveling because of it yet. I guess I am adopting a wait and see policy at this point. I hope they can find a way to contain the virus soon.

Hope you will reach a point where you'll stop worrying about things you cannot control and begin to live your life again as it was meant to be lived. Look at that glass (life) of yours as being half full instead of half empty and take it from there. Won't be long before it will again be filled to the brim!

I too have been feeling the need to stay close to home.
I don't claim that it is the most logical way to be thinking, but it is how I feel.
