I feel kind of sad!

I didn't read all the comments but my comment is this:
Always have something to look forward to!
As soon as you get back, plan something, even if it is a day trip somewhere near you or just something you and your son really enjoy doing.

Unfortunately, sometimes we plan and wait for something for so long, it ends up not living up to the anticipation we've built up, or it is a major depressing let down when we return.

Just relax, enjoy every moment of your trip! Then when you return start planning for another adventure..even a small one! :goodvibes

I LOVE the part where you said your nearly 15 y/o son still hugs and kisses you, holds your hand and just enjoys being with you. That's EXACTLY how my son is!!! Don't you love it!?!? And my son's nearly 18!!! Don't focus so much on the location of your trip, but more on the time you get to spend with your son. We're both lucky moms (I also have a nearly 20 y/o daughter, and I'm proud to say both my kids are the lights of my life). When you get to WDW you'll be in such a great frame of mind that all the pre-trip blues (which all us die-hard Disney nuts get - it's pretty much called overdoing it) will be but a distant bump in the road. Enjoy yourselves, take TONS of pictures, and have a popcorn on me!:lovestruc

Taking time reading my past posts, hard to believe this was practically 14 yrs ago!! That 15 yo boy is now a 28 year old man and I am so proud of him. (He's a aircraft structure technician in the Airforce who works on tactical helicopters), and there's been many family trips since then to WDW with my boys who both still love Disney and luckily love being with their Mom n' Pop.... Our last family vacation was one of our most memorable with both boys in October 2022 where we did a star class royal Caribbean cruise on Harmony of the Seas and then 3 days prior to the cruise at wdw/ and 4 days after the cruise at universal studios! It was magical and so lovely having the boys with us. They are still both single and don't mind hanging with their parents still. My next trip is upcoming in 3 months. Something I threw together fast just for hubby and I because I just needed to get away. We actually ended up adding our niece on who is 16 and hasn't been since she was 6. So we are staying at AKL CL again, where our love of all things Disney began. Excited to be back as I haven't been since 2022. It will be a quick 1 week trip, but still memorable I am sure. Hope you've all enjoyed your family time since we last chatted :) Disney still makes the best FAMILY time and I never grow tired of it.
Marie
