It's cold up here tonight - currently 41 degrees and the temperature is dropping like a rock.. I guess we're supposed to get a mix of rain and snow during the night..

Actually the temps aren't as low tonight as they were last night, but for some reason, I feel much, much colder this evening..

I don't want to play anymore.........

It should not be this cold on Columbus Day.......

I want Indian Summer......

This year we had the "summer that wasn't"......

Pretty soon I'll have to head back to my DD's for the winter....

Phooey! I just don't want to play any more..................Grrrrrrrrrrrrr...........

I don't want to play anymore, either!! :headache: It's 39 here right now, supposed to get down to 30 overnight. Normal high for this time of year is 65. :sad2:

Kind of gives you the jitters about what the "real" winter is going to be like, huh?

39 sounds awesome to me!! I must be wired wrong. That just sounds like cute sweater and jeans, hot chocolate and a good book weather!

Every time I read stuff like this it reminds me that while CT is Gorgeous...I do NOT need to live there again. LOL I'll keep Florida!!

Thank goodness for that global warming. Otherwise, imagine how cold it would really be!

Cold here this morning as well, going to get colder over the next few days with rain moving in. When are you leaving the lake C. Ann? People are saying here a bad winter, we will see.

We're getting a huge storm here on the West Coast. While it isn't cold, it's RAIN! (which we had very little of this summer, normal for the area). People forget how to drive, there is too much run-off, mudslides - ack! no good.

It was pretty chilly this morning for central NC and it's supposed to drop to the upper 40's this week. I am not happy 'bout this!

Yup - we are putting the plastic over the windows and DH has fabricated the snow plow mounts for his truck. Yucky poo winter! At least we have WDW in January to look forward to! :thumbsup2

While at physical therapy last week I was talking with an gentlemen that has been in landscaping as he described it as Forever. He made the comment about the acorns being really big this year, and that he hadn't seen them like this is a very long time. He said by all the signs from "nature" it is going to be a really bad winter. Boy do I hope he's wrong.

I love the changing seasons, the trees are so beautiful around my house, and I'm not minding the weather (except when I have to sit through 2 field hockey games twice a week, it has been raining a lot at those!) I like winter too, until about the beginning of March.

Winter is what you make of it. We love it ... we love to hike, and winter brings even more opportunities to visit places that we don't usually go to in the summer months (when it's too wet, or too buggy, for example).

I like the cold in the fall. I like running when it is between 35 and 50 so this time of year is great for me. The only time of year I really hate is at the very end of winter, about the beginning of March, when you know spring is around the corner and you just want it to get here.

I agree with the PP that said winter is what you make of it. I am from Ohio, lived for a bit in FL, and am back in OH now. I missed fall and winter while I was down there. I like sitting in front of the fireplace on a showy day and watch it fall outside. I love going on snowshoe hikes through the woods when it has accumulated on the ground. I like raking leaves in the fall and even like shoveling the driveway in the winter. Both are good workouts where you get to enjoy the outdoors.

I'm not saying I wouldn't like to take a couple of weeks in the winter and head somewhere warm for a break, but I would miss winter as much as I would miss anything else.
