I don't think I need an EPCOT view ...

I think our EPCOT view might be "wasted" since we are taking my sister and her family!!! They are die-hard morning to night park goers (we used to be too until we joined DVC!!!) so I think the view would be wasted being at the parks all day and night, what do you think??? Should we ask for a pool room view instead so we could cruise faster down to the hot-tub????? I need help, we are leaving in 10 DAYS ( I just got goose bumps typing that!!!) and I can't decide what to do!!! Helllllp!!!

Well, could be that you won't get either request....it happens sometimes...but a pool view request sounds fairly logical considering your circumstances. Or a "close to the elevators" or something like that so that you can get to the pool easily...(or first floor....) I'm guessing you're staying at BCV?

I don't mean to sound like a downer...but its good to remember that you don't have total control over where you end up...so that you don't get disappointed. We've been lucky as far as views are concerned for the most part...but we've also had the VWL dumpster view.

I know how it is to want to impress guests with a great view, though! LOL We got very lucky in December when we took my parents....and got the Boardwalk view smoking room we had requested. It was great to take them in and out onto the balcony with that great view! But if they weren't really balcony sitters I probably would have reserved a standard view and saved quite a few points!

I think Lesley gave you some very good advice. And remember, any request you make will be behind 10 months, 20 days worth of requests!

Personally, I'd focus on the smoking/non-smoking request. And then maybe ask for something near the elevator since your main goal will be to get in and out of the place quickly.

Laura, We had an Epcot view last summer on the 5th floor, great for firework viewing. I have requested the same for this summer. But another person posted they had stayed 1st floor with quiet pool view, and this was wonderful at nite to walk right out to the pool or hot tub. I am thinking of changing my request because we too stay in the parks late in the summer and would be more likely to use the quiet pool late at nite! Joan

We just got back and had an EPCOT view and will be probably for the last time. The road noise is pretty loud, especially on the end towards the parking lot.

I'll request a woods or pool view next year.

It looks like I will be requesting a "pool view" . We did stop by BCV when we were at WDW in April, and the pool view rooms did look beautiful!! And with my sister and her family helping out, DH and I could take advantage of the hot tub if it were nearby!!! Thank you all so much for your advice, I truly listen to all of you and I trust everyone here!!! Lets hope that my request will come thru!!
