I don't like my new Payless Crocs!

have you checked out the Earth Shoes from walmart. I've had a couple of pairs and I love them. They are so soft it's like walking on clouds. The only bad thing about them that I learned the hard way was DO NOT GET THEM WET!! They will get hard as a rock but other than that I love them.

Try the real crocs. If you think they are ugly, then look at the different styles because they all do not look the same. I wore a pair on our trip last March, and they were very comfortable.

All of my DSis', DBIL's and some of the kids have the Payless Airwalks. Everyone loves them ... my DH in particular ... but me. My ankles swell terribly from arthritis and the very back of them dig into my heel just the wrong way, so I end up with blisters. But if they were an open back, they'd be awesome. I do not find any difference in the "feel" of them on your foot, when compared with Crocs. And the prices, at least here anyway, aren't that much different (ie. around $10), so I don't think it's like comparing a $10 pair of sneakers at WalMart with a pair of good NB running shoes.

DH is already looking forward to wearing them on Kali River Rapids.

I think it is appropriate to say that crocs are to plastic clogs what new balances are to cheap sneakers. The issue is with relative quality not relative price. Crocs are made from a patented material that no one else can use. Even if the fake crocs feel soft in the store, they are made from an inferior material. Given how afforable real crocs are it amazes me that anyone would waste money on the fakes. It is incredibly unfair to say crocs are bad when you have only tried an inferior product. This would be like buying a $20 fake coach purse on the streets of NY and complaining about the poor quality of coach brand purses when it falls apart. What do you expect when you buy knockoff products?

I usually wear a good pair of walking shoes, but we're going in Sept and it's going to be hot.
We went in August a few years back and I still wore my athletic shoes. (Reeboks I think.) I had no problem with the heat and I hate hot feet. As much as I love sandals in the summer, I can't imagine walking in WDW with my toes exposed to being stepped on, dirt, cigarettes, whatever.

Real Crocs are great for WDW. You can walk in them all day and your feet don't get tired or hot, plus there's no joint pain like there is with other shoes, even more expensive ones. Definitely splurge for the real Crocs. They are only $30, which is half the price of Merrels, Keens and Tevas, at least the styles I like.

Make sure you wear your Crocs for a few days before your trip. Your feet will be sweaty the first couple of times you wear them, but that will go away. And your feet don't smell when you don't wear socks.

The Prima style of Croc is much dressier, though it doesn't feel like it has as much arch support.

Well, I must be in the minority here, but $30 IS a lot of money for a pair of shoes for myself. LOL!

Anyway, I had a pair of the "real" Crocs and wore them once and ONCE was enough for me. The sizing was awful. They did not fit my feet at all. I returned them and got my "inferior" Airwalks (that I DON'T refer to as Crocs, BTW) and LOVE them. I am in foodservice and have used them ALL day with no problem. And this is from someone with insanely flat feet, knees injured so badly from sports that I RIPPLE when I walk, and a person 18 months out from back surgery where part of my herniated disk was cut away, leaving only a partial disk. I can walk ALL day and not have one single ache or pain.

To each their own, but there was no reason to get all high and mighty about name brands. LOL! I have to wonder those of you who are critical of Airwalks have actually tried them on for a day or so. They are so different from any of the knock-off brands I have tried on... and own actually. I would be the first one to say that the Walmart ones are hard as rocks, but the Airwalks are cushy, supportive, and every bit as comfortable as you all claim your Crocs to be. I own two pairs now and can't imagine being without them. And, no, it doesn't matter to me that they're not made of a "patented" material. Methinks they got it close enough!

My 6 year old says they look like clown shoes in the circus and won't have anything to do with them...I have to agree with her. I don't care how comfortable they are, they do look like big clown shoes.

LOL! That's funny because my seven-year-old has a nice, BRIGHT pair of red Airwalk clogs and LOVES them. Actually, she couldn't wait to get a pair of her own. Of course, we don't really care what we look like or what others might think as long as we're happy and healthy....

I wore Airwalks to WDW last fall, and loved them. They were very comfy- I never had any problems. I also have a pair of Crocs- I like the Airwalks just as much as the Crocs (actually, a bit more- the Airwalks don't have the raised bumps on the insole like Crocs- those bumps don't feel too great to me).

I will say that Airwalks are MUCH softer and more cushioney than other knock-offs I've tried on. The Wal Mart and Target ones aren't worth the $$ at all.

DD has 2 pairs of fake Crocs- I think they are called "Veg's"- they are super duper soft and comfy, and they come in floral patterns. She loves them so much I may have to buy a pair and try them out.

I love my Teva's. They are called 'pretty rugged'. They do cost more than the Crocs, but IMO, are much better looking. I used them last August in WDW and wore them much more than my sneakers.

I am on my 3rd pair of Pretty Rugged Tevas. I had plantar fasciitis off and on and my Tevas have enough support that I don't have a relapse after a long day at the parks. I wear New Balance runners when I don't wear my Tevas. I also have a pair of Crocs and a pair of Knock-Crocs from Payless. The real Crocs are soooo much better than the Payless variety. Even so, I severly sprained my ankle in my Crocs right before my WDW trip. I was in Tampa visiting my in-laws and I was buying "princess shoes" for my DD and her cousin. I jumped up to grab a box and came down wrong. The Crocs let my ankle just roll. Ouch! I was in a sorry state for much of my WDW vacation and I only wore my Crocs to the pool. I wore my Tevas and my runners all the rest of the time.
