We are staying at the BWVs in June. We have ressies at Shula's steakhouse one night, LeCellier one night, Crystal Palace, but considering changing that, kids are getting older, price is getting higher, for that much $, we could eat somewhere really nice, we need a couple more nights. Suggestions!!! Cape May appeals to me, heard its pretty good, may try that. Had Yachtsmans last time, it was ok, had anyone eaten at the Captains Galley? Is it just Yachtsmans on a smaller scale? Where would you eat if staying at the Boardwalk Villas?

Captain's Galley was uneventful. Not good but not bad.

Cape May is great for a buffet and price! All you can eat crab legs, shrimp, shrimp cocktail, pasta, chicken, etc. Really worth it and nice place. But TOTALLY different then Yachtsman and LC.. but you need a seafood choice in there! LOL, maybe even Narcooses or Fultons!! Two of my faves!

I suggest doing CP at lunch. We ate there for dinner and now that dd is 12 and costs the adult price at a buffet I thought $37 was rather steep for almost the same selection we get at lunch for almost $12 less (a person). I wouldn't go back for dinner and this was during a non-peak time.

Keep your FF ADRs as that's a good place. Il Mulino at the Swan is quite good if you like Italian. YSH (Yachtsman) and Captains Galley are very different. We haven't had dinner at either in a while but had breakfast at CG and it was pretty good. Dinner from what I remember was good but nothing to write home about. Kouzzina is different.

Doing a more expensive resturant at lunch is always a good option, we do that often. It is always a lower cost for lunch but you are getting pretty much all of the same benefits. As well don't feel funny asking to split anything on the menu. If your kids have similar tastes by sharing the meal that will cut down on the costs. I do that often with DD (14) and have been for years since neither of us is a big eaters. I have also been know to have appetizers as a main course. In addition, we have asked for things off the kids menu at an adult portion for our 14 year old DD. Anytime we have done any of these things the waitstaff has always been more than accomodating and didn't have a problem with it at all. These may not be good options for those with larger appetities but luckily for my daughter and myself these things not only work well for us but save money in the end. So it really works for us.

Enjoy your vacation! :goodvibes
