Ok, I am once again way behind...so will comment on what I just saw. Enjoyed the pics of OKW, I have never been over there. We are creatures of habit, so eventhough we say we will stay somewhere else , it's always the same place.
Thanks to happydog for the slash mtn walk off pics. We were just talking about that experience the other day, ok it was the 31st but it seems like he other day

. For us, we tend to get the wettest after the drop, around the corner when your log stops by the drop !!
As for stuffed animals, I may have a college sophomore who took a bunch to school with him and I may have a hs sophomore who had me put "fat pooh" in the carry-on for the band bus trip. ( mind you it stayed in the carry-on in this chaperones room the entire time...but it still made he trip)
We want to stay at all the resorts, but when we think about the costs, we always end up back at Pop. Our plan is to just put a night or two at the nicer places at the end of value stays when we are able to.
I know exactly what you are talking about on Splash Mountain. We have been sitting there watching a log come down off the big Splash knowing we were going to get soaked!
Oh my goodness! I do remember Brook getting her face painted, she was so excited about that and it was stinkin' cute!
I would have never recognized her......
There really are so many fun activities to keep a person busy without stepping foot into the parks. Thanks for pointing them out!
Baylor was booked on the cruise this morning so he will be with us this summer for sure! Now we are working to change all of our ADRs for 3 instead of 2. He really wants to eat at "Be our Guest". That is going to be a challenge.
She was very much in her element. She thought she really looked like a big cat.
I could easily do a week in the parks and then a week around the resorts and DTD without having any need to go into a park.
Cripe, what time were you at WL? There wasn't a soul in sight, except for the cm at the pin cart. It sure didn't look like that at T'giving. I, too, loved that path to the boats.
The boys really want to go in June, I'm just not sure hubby will say ok...nothing else is really jumping off the page for this summer. I would like to be able to spend more time at wdw, like actually making it to dtd. It's been a long time since I've seen the place "non-Christmasy"!
I don't recall the time we were at WL. Sometime in the afternoon, since I let Brooklynn sleep in.
DTD could take a whole day if you went in every store. now you can even go bowling, so you could shop, see a movie, and bowl. Not to mention DisneyQuest, for 'gamers'.
Aww what a cute bus driver moment. I love the cast members that just live for that Disney magic.
Cute face painting!

AKL is so gorgeous. MUST STAY THERE.
We sure loved our stay there!
We're home!

We had a great time

Low crowds, perfect weather. Our only issue was that we were both sick at some point this week. My mom had a cold before we left, which started going away on Monday. Of course that's when I started getting sick

I think I caught a cold on the plane. I was fine until Tuesday, and even after that it didn't really get bad until today. We turned in early Tuesday night and then had a somewhat lazy day on Wednesday, so I was okay yesterday. I felt awful when I woke up this morning, but I was okay after a little while so we went to MK for a few hours. The flight home made it a lot worse. Now I can't stop coughing, I have two semi-clogged ears, my throat hurts, and I'm really congested. I hated leaving today, but now I'm pretty happy to be a few minutes away from curling up in my own bed! I'm pretty sure I'm not supposed to go from Rhode Island to Florida and then come back with a cold

Neither of our colds really affected the trip, so it wasn't a big deal. We still did everything we wanted to do and had a great time
Back to reality. No castles in view today.

Glad you had a good time and that you had low crowds. Thanks for all the pictures and updates. They made my work week very happy.
That bus driver sounds so great! Love that he signed Brooklynn's book!
So sweet that Brooklynn wanted you to text the picture to Anita so she would recognize her! The face painting is too cute!
We've never eaten at the Mara, but the options there look really good!
I have had the African stew. It is good, but a little too peppery for me.
Brooklynn said something along the lines of, "Don't you think you should send Miss Anita Wigd a picture so she will recognize me?"
Personally, I think those autographs from people like the bus driver are just so much more special than the ones from the Disney characters! I think doing that would be an excellent thing to include in a scrapbook. There are some CMs who just really make a trip extra special! I'm sure it made his day as well to be asked! I remember a while ago that I came across a TR where the DISer liked taking pictures of CMs. I really enjoyed seeing that.
AKL is so wonderful! I will always love it because it was our Disneymoon resort. Plus, Boma is just so delicious (as is Sanaa!). We too always walked through Zawadi to get in!
I have taken pictures of many castmembers. We certainly need to appreciate what they do to make our trips nice.
Aw, your Disneymoon...I know you do have a special fondness for it.
I just smiled at the interaction Brooklynn had with the bus driver! He really looked like he was enjoying his job.
Wow, I never realized you could do all that at AKL! Such a neat idea. I love The Mara! We haven't been there for a few trips though.
Along with the activities at Jambo House, there are more to do at Kidani Village.
Brooklynn's interaction with that bus driver is one of a million reasons I go to Disney over so many other places. What a great guy!
AKL is such an amazing resort. I have only been there once but it was cool to walk around and see everything they have to offer. If I ever have children I will be sure to take them there! And I love all of the AoA photos. My cousin and I were just talking about staying there if we take another big family trip in 2014 and she wasn't so sure about it. The cute Mickey and little Pixar character waffles will likely be all it takes to change her mind!

looks like another fabulous day!
And the people out at the animal viewing areas are great, too. They will talk to you about the animals and where they are from and what their jobs are.
Those waffles were very good and plenty filling.
Aw! What a sweet bus driver Michael was! I love the way he signed Brooklynn's book. Things like that are what make Disney special!
Brooklynn's face painting is precious! What fun things you do together!
We did have fun. I told Jill I am enjoying reliving our days together as I put these pictures up. I love the way she is looking at Michael as he signs and he is talking to her.
