I Don't Know, I Don't Speak Wind!!

I'm jumping in late.

Ha Ha Girls? I love it! And those figurines are so sweet!

I love Voyage of the Little Mermaid. It is so well done! My boys even enjoy it.

A Polynesian Honeymoon sounds fantastic. Congratulations Tinkgirl!

Awww, Congratualtions Tinkgirl :bride: How exciting for her! Hopefully we'll get to read a trip report when she gets back!

Best wishes to tinkgurl :)

Congratulations tinkgurl! That will be one magical Disneymoon at the Poly, very exciting. Best wishes to her and her husband! :mickeyjum

Congrats to tinkgurl and Fiance!! Hope it is a beautiful day, wonderful wedding and magical honeymoon! pixiedust:

You know a cool thing about this wedding? Kristen/xoktenox and tinkgurl (doesn't like to use her real name on DIS) met right here on our reports and became friends, and Kristen was in her wedding! I love seeing DIS friendships form and grow into something very special.

VotLM is a lot of fun, we don't do it nearly often enough.

I also think that those precious moments figurines are very cute, I just wish I had somewhere to put them. I think I need a bigger house! :goodvibes

Congrats to Tinkgurl, I hope you are having a magical day!

Jill needs a bigger house, too. If she could have walk-in closets in the girls' room and a bonus room with storage space, she'd be in good shape. Her house is nice, and she has a great backyard, but with each additional child, space becomes more of an issue.

So glad to have you along as you earn your ears! :earsgirl:

We haven't had too many complaints from the guys about it. I think because they know it's a cool place to sit down...and because it doesn't last too long. I, on the other hand, would be happy if it was a longer show. ::yes::

I had to run some errands today, and when I was in one of the stores browsing (read: looking for a flamingo ;)) I heard a voice ask if my name would happen to be Ms. Blank. I said I would happen to be that very person. It was one of my former students. He graduated high school back in May. He was a little thicker and had more hair, but I could still see that little third grade face, after he told me who he was.

We talked a little, and I asked him what he remembered about his time in my class. He said he remembered that my class was fun and that I liked him. He said his second grade teacher had not liked him (his point of view), and that it felt good the next year that I liked him. I am glad he felt that way. It was good to see him. He said he doesn't have any career calling to him right now, so he is just going to take general classes at the junior college near here. Not a lot of our kids go to college, and some don't even finish high school, so I am glad to know that he plans to keep going further. Seeing former students - one of the happy moments of being a teacher. :goodvibes

This is the kind of stuff that makes it all worth it, isn't it? :goodvibes

I love that Bella calls the villains "ha ha" girls! They do all have that evil laugh!

Adorable Jim Shore and Precious Moments pieces.

I bet Tinkgirl's wedding was beautiful!

I love seeing former students, too. My favorite story from open house this year was when the brother of one of my current students brought his sister to open house. He was such a pill when I taught him, and now, he is a junior at GA Tech. He definitely matured and got his act together which was nice to see. :goodvibes

Yep. It's nice to know that for one school year, you made learning enjoyable for a kid. :) It's also interesting to see what interests they decide to pursue.

The evil laugh is it, indeed. :thumbsup2

I bet sitting on the beach at Poly will be a beautiful follow-up to that wedding, too. ::yes::

I had one of my summer camp students tell me not too long ago that he realizes now what a brat he was. He was such a hot-headed kid, and he did somtimes fit the description of bratty. ;) Not real often, but when it came to playing kickball or wiffle ball, he was so intense and kind of a punk about it. He couldn't stand it when some of the little girls (who didn't even want to be playing) didn't do everything perfectly. He ended up moving on from wiffle ball to college baseball (at Kentucky) and is now playing with a minor league team. :goodvibes I guess we have to keep our eyes on the prize with our students and know that they might have bratty moments - or unmotivated or loud and obnoxious or defiant or a plethora of other aggravating qualities - but most likely, they will grow out of those and be good, productive adults.

On this Disney day, we were going here.

June2012Part1335.jpg

We planned to do the English version. ;)

You might be surprised, or not, but it was raining.

June2012Part1336.jpg

June2012Part1337.jpg

Tropical Storm Debby was not being nice.

That didn't stop these girls from having fun, though.

Bella can still dance in the rain.

June2012Part1338.jpg

We sloshed our way to Norway.

June2012Part1339.jpg

June2012Part1340.jpg

Pictures with Belle to start the morning. Since the Photopass pictures will show the perfect pose, I thought I'd get one of the 'action' - the Photopass person waiting on the guest to take a picture.

June2012Part1342.jpg

Very castle-like.

June2012Part1344.jpg

The buffet part of the meal.

June2012Part1346.jpg

June2012Part1347.jpg

This was the second day on the job for our server.

June2012Part1348.jpg

She brought us this.

June2012Part1350.jpg

The hash brown casserole is sooooo good!

Here come the royal girls!

June2012Part1351.jpg

You probably looked at the blurry Aurora, but go back and look at Bella's face instead. She's delighted.

June2012Part1353.jpg

June2012Part1354.jpg

Again, Bella is totally into the moment.

June2012Part1356.jpg

June2012Part1357.jpg

Next, Snow White appeared.

June2012Part1361.jpg

June2012Part1362.jpg

June2012Part1363.jpg

And from under the sea, Miss Ariel Girl.

June2012Part1365.jpg

I don't know, but she looks like she would make a good step-sister with that expression.

June2012Part1366.jpg

June2012Part1368.jpg

There was a parade, but I didn't get a good picture of the girls.

June2012Part1370.jpg

June2012Part1371.jpg

June2012Part1373.jpg

I thought this cabinet was cool.

June2012Part1374.jpg

Back out in the elements, Jill's rain gear attacked her!

June2012Part1378.jpg

This was the norm for the first few days - ponchos and covered strollers.

June2012Part1379.jpg

June2012Part1380.jpg

Time for pictures with Mickey and friends.

June2012Part1381.jpg

Bella is no longer afraid to join in the fun.

June2012Part1383.jpg

June2012Part1385.jpg

June2012Part1386.jpg

June2012Part1388.jpg

I thought Orville and WIlbur were the first airplane guys, but....

June2012Part1394.jpg

June2012Part1396.jpg

June2012Part1398.jpg

Now for the tall guy.

June2012Part1400.jpg

That was our first two events for the morning - food and character fun.

Next time: The Seas

Bella is so cute in those pics! She has came along way. I love the girls' skirts also. Epcot looks empty! Was it early or because of the rain?
Congratulations, Tinkgurl! It is so exciting to be at the Poly for her honeymoon.
Oh, speaking of trips, we get to go at Thanksgiving. Jason did get a job. He will be teaching 8th grade science at a middle school 2 minutes from our house. We are going on break. I have a conference and we are staying at the GF again. I am excited!

The girls look so cute in all of the princess pictures!!! I love their skirts, they're very Ariel! I'm glad you enjoyed Akershus, we thought it was a great breakfast too! DF also loved those cheesey potatoes! :thumbsup2

Wow Bella reallly has come a long way! She looked like there was no place else in the world she'd rather be! :thumbsup2 Just too cute!

Love your pictures! We haven't done character connection in a few years and never with Ellie. It's on the top of the list this year.

It's so great seeing Bella so comfortable with both face characters and fur characters. A shame it had to be so rainy though. I love the picture of Snow White talking to Bella, she is just so attentive to them. (: Glad to hear you enjoyed Akershus, it looks like a nice place for breakfast!

Wow, I can't believe how empty EPCOT was that morning especially since it looks like this was after the park opened. Great pictures at Character Connection! I see my boy Pluto was good to Bella and Brooklynn. ::yes:: Good boy.

Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

:goodvibes CONGRATULATIONS TINKGURL ON YOUR WEDDING!!! I'm sure you were a beautiful bride! :goodvibes

A honeymoon at Poly sounds lovely! Best wishes for a wonderful trip! :lovestruc

Did I miss the nursery reveal on FB? I do not know what theme Jill went with for Sophie's room.

I love how excited Bella was at the Akershus bkfst! She has the sweetest look on her face.
The girls outfits are adorable....perfect for a ride in the seas. ;)

It's so nice that you met up with a former student and he brightened up your day. :)

Did you find the flamingo?

We are all in a very happy mood today around here...it's packing day!!!:banana::banana:

Akershus for breakfast looks great! It's so cute how Bella looks so mesmerized by all the princesses!

I hope the rain doesn't last too much longer.

Congrats to Tinkgurl and her new Hubby!! Enjoy the Poly! :bride:

Your story about the former student had me tearing up. I have a very good friend who teaches elem. school and she has some similar stories. You just never know where the kids will end up, do you? I am certain you have made a huge difference in MANY children's lives.

Bella - Oh wow! The cute head tilt and utter joy at seeing the princesses is precious! I am so glad she's warmed up to the characters.

I love Brooklynn's toothless grin!! Those fluffy skirts are adorable!
I hope her Animal Kingdom party is fun! Hope you found the flamingo.

Oh, that dang rain! I guess looking on the bright (?) side, it doesn't appear too crowded!!

Cara - so glad your DH got a job so you can go over Thanksgiving! Lots of new things might be open for a peek by then!

I've gone back to lurking due to subbing nonstop since school started. Barely time to read.. much less post. :(
You may end up loving the new school schedule. My kiddos have been year round (or modified year round) all thru their school years. I love the schedule as it gives us great breaks throughout the year, instead of just during summer. Plus, now if my DD's have more than a couple weeks off they start to go crazy.. and want to go back to school!

Love the look on Bella's face with the princesses and how she is interacting with all the characters now!:cool1:
I can see it now.. Brooklynn will be a vet at Animal Kingdom and Bella will be one of the princess characters!

8th grade Science will be a blast!

Well, hopefully not a blast as in blowing up the lab or anything...:faint:

I will be sad not to see the holiday decorations this year, but I think a good mix for us is to try to go every other holiday (either Thanksgiving or Christmas) and then on opposit years go in October. That keeps it fun and fresh, and we get to do both plenty often. :thumbsup2

I ate two helpings of the potatoes. :) The rest was just normal breakfast fare. John and I tried some unique offerings from the cold bar. I had some kind of goat cheese and something else I don't remember. John had several things. He's adventurous on Disney trips.

Wow Bella reallly has come a long way! She looked like there was no place else in the world she'd rather be! :thumbsup2 Just too cute!

She has always loved Disney World, and now she loves the characters that live there, too. :goodvibes Belle (Bay-uhl) is probably still her favorite, and she likes Snow White a lot, too. She runs around the house a lot with a Cinderella dress and Snow White high heels.

Love your pictures! We haven't done character connection in a few years and never with Ellie. It's on the top of the list this year.

When you do, you should try to get there early. You can get the girls with all five characters at once, of you are first in line.

Love this picture of the girls, in their cute little outfits, doing their cute little poses :goodvibes

It's so fun to see Bella so excited to see the characters now!

It is so nice. There is no coaxing and feeling like we're taking too much time and holding up the line for others.

I think it's funny the way Pluto has to sign the books, so I wanted to get a picture.

There were not too many crazy people in Epcot that morning. Us and a few others.

Jill put together a Little Mermaid nursery. She put the pictures on FB, but we forget that not everyone is on that.

No mingo. :headache: Still looking...

You are so lucky!!! :cool1: I try to tell myself three trips a year is more than I should ever even dream of, but then every time someone says they are getting ready to go, I change my mind. :)

Akershus for breakfast looks great! It's so cute how Bella looks so mesmerized by all the princesses!

Bella is a head tilter, for sure. I told her people are going to think her head is screwed on that way if she doesn't straighten it up in a few pictures.

There is no flamingo to be found! There is a house with some in the yard in the city where I go to church. Not gonna lie - I'm tempted to knock on the door and try to rent a few!

Yes, we say that, as well. Brooklynn will work at Conservation Station, and Bella will be Tinkerbell. Wonder what role Sophie will be just perfect for? :cutie:

I know what you mean about computer time. I have been super busy at school, and then I've done a few things for Brooklynn's party. I should be putting some grades in Gradespeed, but I am enjoying hanging out on the DIS right now. I will hang out with Gradespeed later.
