I Don't Know, I Don't Speak Wind!!

Caribbean Beach is my favorite resort. We used to stay there every year. Lately we've been trying out different resorts, though!
Thanks for all the pictures of the resorts. They're great! :thumbsup2

I hope Jill and the girls make it out to Disneyland. I would love to go but I don't like flying. I guess I could make myself if it has to do with Disney. Our weather has been so crazy. It has been raining for a few days but it has been close to 70 degrees for the past week.

Plans for March sound great.

Love all the little goodies in the gift shop at CBR (I don't think in our three visits there that we ever did hit the gift shop).

Sorry the rain cancelled the campfire and movie

I love how you visit so many of the resorts! And cute joke! :goodvibes

Visiting the resorts is a regular part of my trips now. I wish I didn't feel like I had to visit certain ones, but I can't talk myself out of it. :upsidedow

Hope Jill gets to go. We love Disneyland.

I hope so, too. And I bet she will love it, as well. ::yes::

Hahaha aww, I love that joke!

Too bad the little campfire got rained out. CBR looks so lively and colorful! I need to start resort hopping like you!

I think it's fun to get to experience so many different 'vibes' on one trip. We can go from the tropics to the savannah to the wilderness in one day.

We have been over to CBR one Christmas trip. I think it might have even been on Christmas Day just after we had put the kids on a flight back to Kansas to spend the rest of the holiday with their dad. It had begun to rain and so we couldn't explore much. We ate and looked around in the gift shop. The food was good and I liked what little I saw of the resort...

Seems like it rains every time I go over there, too!!! They must make extra rain clouds a part of their theme.

Love the CBR pictures. That was the first on site resort we ever stayed at when I was growing up. It was a place the first few years you had to book as soon as the booking window opened in the summer- we actually got moved from there to the Yacht Club because CBR was overbooked and they upgraded us... my mom had to call them back because she did not believe the CM who called.

We seem to always be on the Magical Express bus that hits CBR, my kids always ask to check it out, maybe this summer we can take a trip over there!

You need to go back just for old time's sake. :thumbsup2

Looks like you guys had a great time at CBR, despite the campfire being rained out!! I love your shopping pics - that picture frame with the characters' signatures is too cute! :goodvibes

It is cute, isn't it? It would be a good souvenir to put a wedding trip picture in. :rolleyes1

Great pics of CBR. We stayed there in 2004 in Martinique. It was a great location as we were close to the food court.

Looks like Brooklynn kept busy right into the night.:thumbsup2

That she did, and she was very happy about that swim again. :)

I love that little joke.

I was looking at your Pop photos and wasn't sure if that bus was letting people off or picking them up. I wasn't sure if I should feel happy or sad for them?

Ending the night with a swim is the best! :thumbsup2

Those people were unloading.

How great it will be to call Beach Club home for a few days! It is so nice of Anita & Marc to share their private Epcot entrance. ;) That might be my favorite part.
It sure is chilly here, too. Just 3 degrees yesterday, with windchill! I know I wanted to go skating again, and I'm glad they're re-filling the rinks across the street, but that's a big temp swing from the 50s last week. This bone-chilling weather plus having just canceled a trip for next weekend (stupid work!), sure makes a Disneyland trip all the more tempting. I hope Jill gets to go ::yes:: -- and then shares some of that sunny fun with us!

It is very nice of Marc and Anita. If it weren't for them, this girl would not be 'doing Disney' too much this year.

You are way colder than us. We are sitting at 33-34 right now.

Thanks for the resort tours. My mom and I loved our stay at the AK Lodge. She participated in a lot of the activites there. We treated my dad, stepmom, sister, and brother to a trip to WDW and we stayed at CBR. Your pictures brought me back to that trip. My kids loved getting the kids meals because they came in sand pails. I think we came home with 7 pails. :rotfl:

I can't wait to see your pictures of the Beach Club. That resort is on my "must" do some day.

Yes, we have some sandpails, too. One of those little fun Disney things. :goodvibes

Nine weeks from tomorrow I will be doing a Beach Club dance! :cool1:

Love the CBR Shopping Pics!

Let's see what's in your shopping bag! :goodvibes

We want to stay at them all! Fun plan, huh?!?!?

See, that long flight would not be good for me. Just the thought of it stresses me out. If I could get on the plane, be knocked out for three and a half hours, and then be roused in time to be coherent enough to walk off on my own ability, I could do it.

It was 68, I think, here on Friday.

No shopping??? :scared1:

March, March, March....Come on March!!!
We have half of January and that crazy month of February to deal with yet.

Supposed to be a mess here tomorrow am, I was hoping for a delay...but now I'm thinking it might be a snow day :(

Snow day...boo...now last day is June 17

We have 5 snow days that we would not have to make up, so I am hoping we get every one of them. We won't, of course, but I can dream. :) Nothing will be happening for the next ten days, as the temps are staying above freezing, but maybe we can have some snowball fun in February.

*************************************************

The last few days have seen us heavy-hearted. A family member of a girl Trent used to date was in a skiing accident. Her hope of ever walking again is pretty much non-existent. Lower body is bad. Upper body is still being determined. She has an infant son. My heart just hearts for her, her young husband, and all the family surrounding her. One of my friends from church watched her father take his last breaths this week as he lost his cancer battle. She lost her brother to cancer a short while ago. Also, one of the teachers that works at Jill's pre-school lost her husband. He was hit by a car as he was walking on a road near his house. So much sadness these days.

But, we have smiles, as well. Those of you who saw Bella on FB with her little eye patch probably smiled, right? I know I smile every time I see your DIS kids playing their sports, showing off their art work, singing in school and church programs, or just doing whatever. Thanks for sharing those with us. We have to take the bad in life and cope as well as we can, and we are thankful for all the good, the fun, funny, silly - crazy, even - to help offset the sadness.

More pictures coming soon. We will be starting July 4th, so wear your red, white, and blue!

So sorry about the families going through such hard times right now.

Yes I did smile when I saw sweet Bella with the eye patch on. She was stylin.:)

So sorry for all the heartaches.

Bella WAS really rocking that eye patch! If anyone could pull off that look, it's her. Very sweet!

Yay for 4th of July! I'll get the sparklers ready! :)

So sorry about all the losses around you recently and the serious accident.

I don't think we are friends on FB so I didn't see Bella's eyepatch. Any chance of posting it here?

The sparkly pirate patch definitely made me smile. So sorry for so many heartaches, we continue to have the same here and it is the bright spots like sparkly eye patches and little girls taking late night swims (or big boys cooking out of a Disney cookbook) that really do help us continue on.

My thoughts are with you, your loved ones, and your loved ones loved ones.

Fun evening despite the campfire damper. Such a pretty resort!

She was wearing one on the opposite eye this morning. I hope all this stylin' does the trick for her. I can't wait to see her - and all of them! - Saturday morning.

That little nut can pull off just about anything. Do you remember Punky Brewster with all her mismatched clothes? Bella can wear paisley, checks, and stripes accompanied with a tutu and cowboy boots and look adorable. ::yes::

Oh man. Lots of sadness right there. Lots of hugs for all of you.

Bella always makes me smile! :)

She makes me smile, too. Jill sent a picture of Sophie smiling away this morning, too. Brooklynn was not in a smiling mood, so I didn't get a picture of her.

I will tell Jill. You are welcomed to friend both of us. :) Then I could see Mark's surprise video. You know - Part 1, where he says ugly words.

Yes, we need all those little happinesses!

The people who are with Lindy, the girl who had the accident, are reporting that she has a remarkable attitude right now. She did get to spend some time with her baby, too, so I was thrilled to hear that!

Happy Fourth of July!!!

On this day, we hopped on a bus.
Looks like we sat very near the front. :)

Don't you just love purple and red road signs?

EndofSummer2012WDW156.jpg

My friend, Kay, who is going with me in March, loves this ride.

EndofSummer2012WDW157.jpg

This signage is blue now.

Our next ride would have a gren flag.

I had read about the cart parade, and this is what we had come to see.

I have a ton of school work to do tonight, so you guys just hang out here at the Fort, and tomorrow night, CRASH NIGHT, we will see some more of the fun golf carts. Have a good evening, all!

I love the road signs in WDW. It's one of the first things I miss once we leave
WDW grounds.

FW is so fun. And I love the boat ride from the MK. I love it at night with everything all lit up.

I just wanted to let you know I've been busy subbing! :)

I love the roads signs also.

Love the pics of the boat ride over to FW.:thumbsup2

Looking forward to more. I crash on Fridays also!!

Looking forward to more of the 4th. I remember thinking of you all at the time, when we were in Michigan and it was 102!!
